Every time a woman/girl/female-bodied person/female-identified person is judged for assumed or actual sexual history, we should rally around that person and strive to make everyone feel safe. But no matter how many PSAs and articles that go out, it feels like there are still people out there giving voice to the negativity.

00:00I don't think I've been directly slut shamed.
00:03I personally have never been slut shamed before.
00:05I have never been slut shamed.
00:07Fifth grade, we would go around and look at people, or girls specifically,
00:13and if they had a thigh gap, we would say she was sexually active, she was doing a lot.
00:17My senior year of high school, he asked me to prom and I said yes.
00:23But then the guy that I really wanted to ask me to prom, asked me to prom after,
00:29and I went to prom with the guy that I wanted to and I had to tell my friend.
00:33He pushed me up against a locker and in front of 30 kids in the hallway,
00:41started calling me a slut and a whore.
00:43And it was because he was clearly looking for something that I wasn't going to give to him.
00:50Fuck you, I'm glad I didn't go to prom with you.
00:53My freshman year of college, my friends and I decided to do something called
00:57No Hookup November.
00:58We had a giant poster board, like a huge board that we put up in our common room of our
01:03floor.
01:04And we put everyone's name up and you would get a tick mark if you made out with anyone.
01:09And then it would like grow as you did more with them.
01:12So we were like inadvertently slut shaming ourselves for something that we weren't bothered by,
01:17but other people were.
01:18So we took those opinions and internalized them.
01:21I was 20 years old.
01:22I went for a checkup and I had just become sexually active and wanted to take the proper precautions.
01:29And he told me that he would not put me on birth control because a girl like me would have
01:37a different sexual partner every month.
01:39She was like, well, you know, just be really careful that you are thinking about, you know, each one of
01:45these guys
01:46and whether or not you sleep with them because it all goes into your number.
01:49At the end of the day, that was all about, you know, what somebody else thought
01:52and not what I thought about, you know, whether I was okay with my sexual experiences.
01:57Have you ever been slut shamed?
02:00Like, the short answer is yes, and it's all the time.
02:05Fuck slut shaming. Fuck it.
02:09Doubtjä' care.
02:09And we'll see what you need to say with a teacher for working here.
02:10I absolutely the idea of seeing myself that all people are falling out.
