00:03That was awesome.
00:04Hi, my name is Michelle Stylin, and today I'm going to teach you how to drop in on roller skates.
00:11There's a lot of skills required in order to learn how to skate ramps.
00:13You need to know how to skate forwards, backwards, do 180 turns,
00:19and most importantly, you should be prepared to fall at any moment.
00:26So you want to start by wearing your protective gear, such as a helmet,
00:30which will keep your brain working for the rest of your life.
00:35If you do fall, don't be scared.
00:37Pick a cheek and go to the soft bits of your body.
00:40Hug yourself so that you don't put your hands down,
00:42and just really relax and ease into the fall, like this.
00:51When you're skating forwards on the ramp, you want to lean into the ramp, backwards.
00:57And when you're skating backwards on the ramp, you want to lean into the ramp, forwards.
01:01You always want to be in a squatted position.
01:03You want your knees to be very soft and easy,
01:06and all of your body should be very comfortable and relaxed, nothing stiff or tense.
01:11.
