00:00I think everybody should read. I hope y'all are reading. Anyone out there watching?
00:04It's usually lots of, like, psychological warfare that's going on, music-wise.
00:35What's up? We're Chatfile, and we're here to show you our tour vehicle.
00:39Our two!
00:42Alright, this is the car we're traveling in right now, this Wagoneer.
00:47Typically, we're not driving. It's our tour manager, Paul, who does everything.
00:52But, yeah, we're in this van for two days.
00:56And then, you know, it's kind of bare-bones right now, so, yeah.
01:02Today, we've been listening to Harder Rock and Roll by Huey Lewis in the News,
01:06and I think we listened to Honky Tonk Badonkadonk on the way here.
01:09It's usually lots of, like, psychological warfare that's going on, music-wise, in the van.
01:15It's not as much right now, because we've kind of been also listening to some...
01:19We had listened to two Tool Records yesterday on the way in,
01:21but usually when we're all together, it's just, uh...
01:25It's, uh, music that we can torment each other with as a way to keep it fun, basically.
01:31Not necessarily, just, uh, kind of, you know, whatever you find to entertain yourself for hours at a time.
01:39I'm usually, again, we're usually in a normal van, so this is very funny to me that we're doing this
01:45on a day
01:45in which we're in these two weird Jeep Wagoneers, uh, that we will be...
01:50This is the last day we're even using these and getting into our normal van tomorrow,
01:53which is usually then turns into, like, a nest of merch and our personal belongings and stuff,
02:00and it's usually, uh, uh, Austin, or Sten, our bassist, too.
02:06It's, like, kind of the co-pilot, usually, in the normal scenario,
02:10but usually in charge of just navigating and stuff like that, you know.
02:14Here it is, the back seat. We have our two things of LaCroix here.
02:20We have some, uh, more water back there, a wet shirt from the other day, uh, my Gatorade from earlier,
02:28and, you know, this is, this is how we do it in ChatPile.
02:32Lots of water, you know, staying hydrated in the back seat, you know?
02:36Hydration's key.
02:36Yeah, hydration's key.
02:38We usually listen to music in the van. I have, I don't have it with me, it's in our, uh,
02:42dressing room,
02:42but I have, like, a little handheld game thing that I, I, I've been playing some Sega Dreamcast games on,
02:48uh, the past couple days.
02:49But, uh, uh, yeah, it's usually just, like, it's a lot of talking and, you know, just, you know, joking
02:56around.
02:57And then, again, trying to listen to music that kind of, uh, torments each other.
03:01And a, you know, positive torment.
03:03Positive.
03:04Uh, yeah, that's usually, that's usually it.
03:07Reading.
03:08Yeah, reading.
03:08Listening audiobooks.
03:10I can never sleep, like, in vehicles, like, on planes or cars or anything like that.
03:15So, it's, it's really hard for me to get any sleep.
03:17It's like, I'll start to hit in and it's like, I, I jolt awake like I'm in trouble in class
03:21or something for some reason.
03:22I don't know why my body does that, but.
03:25So, yeah, lots of just, like, sitting here and zoning out when we're on the road for, like, seven hours
03:30to get to the next city or whatever.
03:32Here's the trunk.
03:33We got a single Pelican case, of course.
03:37We got two wet t-shirts that I have worn.
03:40The past cut, they're soaking wet still.
03:42Very gross.
03:44Uh, Ryder, uh.
03:46Yeah, we, uh, some whiskey and coffee that was from a previous show that is just living in a bag
03:53now.
03:53Oh, you can't, you can't forget the Ricola's.
03:56Which we're all addicted to.
03:58Really.
03:59Coconut water, sparkling water.
04:03Vegetable plate.
04:05Hummus and salsa.
04:06Stuff like that.
04:07Just, like, kind of snacky stuff.
04:09And, uh, nothing too, yeah, beer.
04:12Nothing too crazy, you know.
04:14Just.
04:15A bowl of, uh, yellow M&M's.
04:18Yeah, yeah, of course.
04:20Yeah, no.
04:21Yeah.
04:21I don't hate M&M's completely.
04:24We just, like, literally, like, tap you guys in.
04:27Boom.
04:28Boom.
04:30What's up, y'all?
04:31What's up?
04:31Welcome to the true Swagoneer.
04:32Yeah, Swagoneer 2.
04:34White edition with the Idaho place.
04:36Sequel's better than the original.
04:37That's right.
04:39We played Minneapolis and these shows in Chicago, but technically our tour really starts in Denver.
04:44So, me and our tour manager, Paul, caravans two vans from Oklahoma City to Denver with all our gear in
04:51it.
04:51Then we flew and met up with everybody in Minneapolis where we rented these two Wagoneers, uh, so that we
04:57could fit our gear and some merch in them.
04:59And then, after Riot Fest, we're flying back to Denver and the true van tour begins.
05:04But in the meantime, we got these cool...
05:07Swagoneers.
05:08Yeah.
05:08This ain't no mall crawler, alright?
05:10This is a real jeep that we're driving, okay?
05:12Yeah.
05:12No ducks in this motherfucker.
05:14That's right.
05:15Put a cruise on us.
05:17Well, our sound guy, Mark, has been kind of the one driving and controlling the auxiliary cable.
05:24And I've got to tell you, it whiplashes between some decent stuff to some of the worst music I've ever
05:30heard in my life.
05:31Slamauchi is a standout.
05:33Yeah.
05:34I'm not recommending it.
05:36No, but it did come up.
05:37It did come up.
05:38There's been some pornographic rap music and a few other bad songs as well.
05:45What's up?
05:45This is my seat here.
05:47I got my shorts and a sack because they stink.
05:50You know, I got my charger here.
05:51I got my microphone.
05:53I got my book.
05:54I got Streets of Laredo by Larry McMurtry.
05:57I'm enjoying the hell out of right now.
05:59I got my collection of cups and bottles here.
06:03Pre-swagged out, honestly.
06:05You know, I'm reading this book, Streets of Laredo.
06:07I think everybody should read.
06:09I hope you all are reading.
06:10Anyone out there watching?
06:12Ray Gunn Bush says, read a book.
06:15Otherwise, though, we're usually curating.
06:18Actually, Mark has sort of beat us to the punch because we're usually trying to gross each other out with
06:23the worst possible music we can in the van.
06:26So that's kind of a pastime.
06:28But yeah, reading books is kind of a big part of our pastime.
06:33Here's all of our shirts and things.
06:36Which we don't have many left.
06:37In fact, we have to find a way to ship this stuff back home before we fly out.
06:43But yeah, we're in the more gear-heavy wagon here right now.
06:47We've got some records.
06:48We've got the Pelican case with our amps in it.
06:52Guitars, of course, and some drum breakables.
06:54So this is the first time ever in Chatpile history that we have rented two vans.
06:59And one will be just for passengers, and then the other one's going to be filled, or is filled, to
07:04the ceiling with gear and merch and that kind of stuff.
07:08So we're against trailers.
07:09They're too easy to steal.
07:11And trying to drive those around in a big city or whatever could be a pain in the ass.
07:16So hopefully two vans fixes that for us.
07:19Well, y'all, thanks for checking out the Wagoneers with us.
