00:07Hey guys I'm Hannah and I'm Kayla and this is Test Lab where we trap the
00:11internet's craziest trends so that you don't have to. Unless we think you should.
00:15Today we're going to be trying out DIY nail art. So what do we have in front of
00:21us today? So this is called Moyu nail designs. I got it done one of the girls
00:25and did it on my nail and it looked amazing. It dried instantly. It's actually
00:31pretty simple. Each of these little packets has a metal plate in it that has
00:35different designs. You paint it on, you use this little scraper, you scrape the
00:39excess off, you use a stamp, you roll the stamp on and then you roll it onto your
00:44nail. Sounds like a lot of steps but decently straightforward. Shall we get our
00:49jackets on? Let's do it. Each plate that you're given comes with a lot of
00:56different designs. It comes with like individual little pictures like there
00:59could be one flamingo and then it also comes with like a full set of like
01:03something that would cover your entire nail. Then of course you have your nail
01:06polishes that you apply to the stencil. For the purpose of this video Kayla and I
01:10already did a base coat just to save some time but you would already have painted
01:14on your first base coat and then you choose a second color that goes on top of
01:18the design to add two colors. As the nail art. Exactly. Cool. I'm excited like I want
01:24some cool designs so I want to make it work. What are you thinking of
01:27doing as your theme? I'm like loving like the geometric element going on so I'm
01:32thinking of like kind of sticking with that maybe like doing different geometric
01:37art on each finger. Okay so you should just go for it. So okay paint's great. What are
01:45you doing? Kayla. I can't I didn't mess up yet. Step number one remove blue protection
01:53sticker. Start over. Yeah you have like a light colored base so I feel like the
01:58pastels will look great and I have this like darker blue so I really want
02:01something that pops so I think the pink will look really cool. I think so too.
02:05Okay so basically paint scrape paint scrape press repeat paint scrape press repeat paint
02:13scrape press repeat paint scrape press repeat one more time paint scrape press
02:18repeat paint scrape press repeat oh make sure that when you stamp you stamp at a 45
02:24degree angle. So I'm gonna try this like cool zebra print I'm like nervous now okay
02:33scrape scrape I've never had such a good 45 degree angle my math teacher would be proud oh it's
02:41working let me see nice so it worked yay but it's all over my skin because the design is a
02:53rectangle
02:54pattern so I painted over the whole thing press it on my finger and it did get on
03:00the outside of my skin but I feel like it's easy clean up because it's not huge
03:04gobs of nail polish. This is definitely something that takes practice because I've
03:09done this now a couple times I started over a couple of times and my third one
03:13like my most recent one I think looks better. You do want to take your time like
03:16my dots for instance aren't coming out that well and I think I should have tried
03:20to go a little slower pace myself oh my god that looks so good. Mine is a little bit on
03:24my skin
03:25like it really. Right but that's such easy cleanup so we're working on our other hand
03:29now and I'm trying to be more careful and a little more precise it hasn't worked
03:34out too well but I think so you have acrylic nails on right now right and I
03:40have and gel gel nail polish so I feel like that's a big advantage to anyone
03:45trying this because you can kind of wipe away any mistakes and try the
03:49application again. The cleanup is easy though but it comes off of your skin really
03:53fast and that's just with a standard nail polish. One, two, three. Oh yours look
04:01good. Yours look good too. You just need a little cleanup right there. So we just
04:06finished our nails and applied a quick top coat that came with the kit which
04:10makes no difference so we just quickly went through. It already dries really
04:14quickly as you can tell from our panicked stamping but I think the top coat just
04:19helps to make sure that everything stays in place. I'm amazed at how fast
04:23it dries you it really is like stamp and go like this is like nail art in a flash
04:28you can just do it and go on with your day. Towards the end it definitely got
04:32easier I knew what I was doing more with my application. Now if you're getting a
04:35manicure and you're getting crazy designs on it can cost you upwards of $100 and I
04:40was buying the package which came with I think two plates a nail polish and the
04:43scraper and the stamp. Okay. It was somewhere around like $35 which really isn't that
04:48bad. I would give this two thumbs up. Say we put these fingernails to the test and go
04:53out for a night on the town. See you next time on Test Lab.
