00:10Hi, I'm Liam Payne and I'm here at Refinery29 to do a special event for my fans.
00:15They're upstairs right now and they think that they're going to come here to do a congratulations
00:18video for Liam's new single, Strip That Down.
00:21We're so excited.
00:22Hi, we're so excited.
00:23What they don't know is they're actually here to meet me.
00:25Are you ready?
00:26Let's do it.
00:31Okay, so we're going to ask you a couple questions, so just look at the camera right
00:35here.
00:36Tell me, what do you think about Liam?
00:38Liam is my favorite person in the whole entire world.
00:41His smile just makes me smile all the time.
00:44Nothing matters more to me than his happiness.
00:46I just love his personality and spirit.
00:49Everything he does is just amazing.
00:51His songs are incredible, his dancing, obviously.
00:55I love Liam because he's so supportive and he's always been there for his fans.
01:00He's so humble.
01:01He's so sweet.
01:03He's honestly just perfect.
01:05I currently have $2,000 saved up for Liam's tour.
01:08We have matching tattoos, like everything.
01:10And so what do you think about Strip That Down?
01:11I love Strip That Down.
01:13Our favorite song is Strip That Down.
01:14So good.
01:15So good.
01:16Okay, I'm going to play it for you guys.
01:19Yee!
01:20Yee!
01:20You know I've been taking some time and I've been keeping to myself.
01:25I had my eyes upon the prize and not to anybody.
01:28No!
01:29You know I used D in one D.
01:30Now I'm out for you.
01:32Holy shit!
01:33Oh my god!
01:34You know I love it when the music's loud, but come and strip that down for me.
01:38Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:39Hi there!
01:54Nice to meet you!
02:04How's it going?
02:05Nice to meet you.
02:06You okay?
02:07Hi there!
02:08Oh my god!
02:09Hi!
02:09Hi!
02:10How are you?
02:10Oh my god!
02:11I'm Liam, nice to meet you.
02:13Hi!
02:14I'm going to sit down, let's see if we can all fit on here.
02:17Oh you're here!
02:18Oh my god!
02:19Oh my god!
02:20Sorry.
02:21That's okay.
02:22Are you so happy right now?
02:23I'm so happy, oh my god.
02:25Are you crying a little bit?
02:26A little bit.
02:27Are you surprised?
02:28Yeah, I'm surprised.
02:30I like you more than my boyfriend.
02:31I'm sorry.
02:32What does your boyfriend have to say about that?
02:33I don't think he's going to like that very much.
02:34Oh do you?
02:35Yeah.
02:35I'm so happy.
02:36You're amazing.
02:37Oh my god, sorry.
02:39You're making me go all shy now.
02:41Oh my god.
02:41Is there anything you want to know?
02:43This is your chance.
02:44You can know everything now.
02:46Oh my gosh.
02:46Or maybe not everything, but a lot of things.
02:49What is your inspiration for Strip That Down?
02:52For Strip That Down?
02:53I think for me, because I took so long to get into the solo mode, it was kind of a
02:57bit
02:58of a depiction of how I felt about becoming a solo artist and where I wanted to go.
03:03So I thought it was quite important to lay out the playing field before I started.
03:06It's awesome.
03:06Do you like it?
03:07I do love it.
03:08You have two songs on the Billboard Top 100 charts right now.
03:12How does that make you feel?
03:14Just like that.
03:15I know it's amazing.
03:16I can't believe it.
03:16I'm so lucky and I'm so fortunate that Zed wanted to collab and obviously they wanted
03:20to release when they did.
03:21So we've got two in the charts at the moment, baby, which is great.
03:24I love it.
03:25What was it like transitioning into a solo artist?
03:28It was a strange process because you kind of have to look inside yourself a little bit
03:33about what you're like and then also what people think of you.
03:37But then also what you want to achieve and that was kind of where Strip That Down came
03:41from because that's kind of the place where I base myself best.
03:44But I mean I don't really want to do like a genre thing but I'm just trying to see what
03:48happens.
03:48Ever since you had Bear, how has it been balancing your career and being a father?
03:53It's not the easiest thing to do in the world obviously because I miss my son terribly.
03:57And I think you kind of almost gamble a little bit that you might miss something.
04:00I don't want to miss little things in life.
04:02When he speaks first and then he giggles and stuff like that.
04:05That's the hard part.
04:06But I know why I'm doing my job and I have to go and do my job.
04:09And I love doing my job.
04:10It's great.
04:11But I love my family as well and I'm just very lucky that he's got such a great mum.
04:15Thank you for being fans of mine and as a thank you from me personally,
04:19we're going to get you tickets to a show as soon as they start.
04:22No way.
04:23Wait, really?
04:24Yeah, of course.
04:25Oh my god.
04:25Thank you so much.
04:27Is this the best day ever?
04:28This is the best day ever.
04:30Thank you so much.
04:33It's a lot of fun.
04:34Oh my gosh.
04:36I wasn't ready.
04:37I would have wanted something cuter.
04:39Oh my god.
04:42I was loving you.
04:43Oh my goodness.
04:46Oh my god.
04:47Are you alright?
04:48You're going to be okay.
04:50Come here.
04:50Turn around a little bit.
04:51Just have a little second.
04:52It's okay.
04:54I've just waited so long for this.
04:57Oh, babe.
04:58That's very, very sweet.
05:00Right.
05:01I'm going to hand you over here now.
