00:04For this Try This Challenge, I will be wearing three crazy eyelashes for three days.
00:10I do not wear false eyelashes, but I wear a lot of eye makeup.
00:13These, I think, are going to add an extra va-va-voom to the look.
00:16I think the hardest part of this challenge for me is how people are going to see me.
00:22New York City, you can go with bold looks.
00:24For this challenge, I will be in my hometown, which is in the suburbs, and in the south.
00:31I'm most nervous about pulling out my regular eyelashes by putting them on,
00:35and then getting the glue off freaks me out a little bit.
00:37I'm very excited to see how this ends for me and my lashes,
00:41so join me for the next three days while I try three crazy different lash looks.
00:45Since it's day one, I decided to start off kind of easy.
00:50Look at my natural lashes, which is barely there, and then look at these.
01:00Oh gosh, look at it.
01:03They're on.
01:04I guess I'm ready to take on the day.
01:07So it is day one of crazy lashes, and I am officially very late for work.
01:12This took 30 minutes, and it's not even that great.
01:15I almost glued and removed part of my real lashes by gluing them to my actual eyelid.
01:22It was bad.
01:23They're not as heavy as I expected, but they're definitely not comfortable.
01:27I feel super extra with these spider-like eyelashes today.
01:34But then again, I am the person who has driven a car for the past several years that has eyelashes.
01:42This is my baby Ralphie.
01:44We're twinning today.
01:46So, the lady in Starbucks who was ringing me up, she was so nice,
01:49so she asked me if I did my lashes myself.
01:51She seemed really impressed.
01:53So, I'm at the mall, and this is harder than I anticipated, but you know what?
02:00I'm pretending.
02:01Like, nothing's wrong with me.
02:02Like, this is fashion.
02:05I've heard whispers, and I've seen people take a double take, but it's all good.
02:11So, it's the end of day one, and my eyes are very tired.
02:16I got a lot of compliments, and people seemed to think they were very cool, which I agree with.
02:20My favorite thing about wearing eyelashes is at the end of the day when you take them off,
02:26because just that gentle tug, it's so satisfying.

02:35Hello, so it is day two of Crazy Lashes.
02:38These are definitely crazier in color.
02:41They are weird, but I love them.
02:43I don't know what it is.
02:43I just feel very My Little Pony chic, you know?
02:47Another day, another pair of lashes, and I will be wearing purple feather lashes.
02:54It looks like one of those fans dancers use when they're dancing, and they just, like, flail it around.
03:02Here it goes.
03:03I'm nervous.
03:04Oh, my word.
03:07I don't like this.
03:08I feel like there is a visor on my eyeball.
03:12Well, they're on.
03:14I'm actually going to meet up with some friends today.
03:17They're coming over for dinner, and I know they're going to look at me and think,
03:22what did New York do to Melissa?
03:25I mean, it is called a challenge for a reason, and this is definitely challenging.
03:30So, I just went out with the lashes to get lunch, and I feel like they're starting to fall off.
03:37It's also kind of hard in the sun because I squint, and then my lashes hit my cheek.
03:44I think that this one is going to go first, but we shall see.
03:47Who needs sunglasses when you got big purple feather lashes to protect your eyes?
03:53I like to drive with the windows down, but I can't drive with the windows down because I'm scared these
03:59eyelashes would fly off.
04:01Currently at the grocery store, and best believe I'm getting judged who wears these crazy lashes to buy some lettuce.
04:10So, it is the end of the day.
04:12My eyes are tired, but the lashes have not fallen off, which is a small miracle.
04:17I think people looked at me more with these because they were neon.
04:19End of day two, and these babies are gone.
04:24My family did tease me a little bit, but it was just being playful, and later on, no one really
04:30cared.
04:31They were like, well, it's just Melissa doing Melissa things.
04:37Okay, it's day three. I'm going to a music festival.
04:41So, what better place to wear some crazy lashes pink and glittery?
04:46I will be in the hot sun for about ten hours.
04:50So, the worst that can happen is my eyelashes might fall off if I don't put them on properly.
04:57So, we'll see how this goes.
04:59The lashes are on, and I'm ready to take on today.
05:02So, it is the third day of crazy lashes, and this is the peacock lash, trimmed.
05:09And I don't think I can wear it today.
05:13It hurts and weighs really heavily on my eye.
05:16So, I'm going to have to...
05:19Yeah.
05:20So, that is a sad end to crazy eyelashes.
05:25The sun finally went down, but my eyelashes are barely holding on.
05:32This is a hot mess.
05:34The night is over once the lashes come off.
05:39Overall, good experience.
05:41Loved exploring a little bit of my creative side, and I would definitely wear falsies on special occasions.
05:47Things I learned from this challenge.
05:50One, strangers do not care about what you look like.
05:55They have their own life to worry about.
05:57They don't care what another stranger has on their eyelashes.
06:00Ultimately, your opinion of yourself matters the most.
06:04If you want to try a new look or a bold look, I say go for it.
06:09Life is too short to be plain and boring.
