Transcript
00:00So how's your boyfriend? What are you wearing to prom? I'm like a Long Island hairdresser.
00:06Hi everyone, I'm Christina and I'm Jess and welcome to Test Lab where we try out the internet's craziest trends
00:12So you don't have to. Unless we think you should. So today we're gonna be using peanut butter as a
00:17hair mask
00:18Peanut butter is actually really good for your hair because it's super high in protein and the protein in the
00:23peanut butter
00:23Make your hair grow longer and stronger. So that makes this mask work really well for people that have dry
00:29Damaged hair maybe a few split in I have super long color treated hair and it tends just get really
00:36dry and damaged
00:36The bottoms of my hair are pretty dead. So it'd be nice to kind of just put a little extra
00:41life into them
00:42So Jess, I think it's peanut butter jelly time. I was gonna say that
00:49Smells like peanut butter
00:52There's a lot of peanut butter. Wow, I think I should put this on. Yeah, let's put that on. You're
00:57just going for it
00:59Okay, oh my god. Oh
01:01It feels weird. This is kind of nice. It's like a real thick conditioner. Why did I sign up for
01:06this? You're really enjoying this aren't you?
01:08This is actually really fun
01:10This is very relaxing for me. This is really relaxing for me. Can you do peanut butter hair mask on
01:15me like every weekend? Wait, put your hand up
01:17It's kind of gross because there's like little hairs
01:19Ew, ew! Jess, I think this is- I think you're all good. Let me see this
01:27It looks so disgusting
01:28Yeah, it really does look gross
01:30It looks like some type of feces. I'm not gonna lie. At least it's not mayonnaise
01:35I feel bad for whoever had to do the mayonnaise version of this. Can you smell it?
01:40Here's your pretty blue shower cap. Let's put it in a little peanut-y topknot. Look at that
01:46Let that soak in. Let that simmer
01:49All right, so we use about 75% of this peanut butter on my hair and your hair is just
01:53as long
01:53So go for the gold. Bye hair. It was nice knowing you
02:00Look at my scoop. Oh my god
02:03How does it feel? Creamy. It is tricky though because it gets tangly or really fast like
02:10I'm working it in all the little crevices. My masterpiece is finished. I look beautiful
02:17Giselle watch out
02:18All right, wrap it up here. You have a lot of hair
02:22There you go. We made a big mess. Oh god. That's disgusting. 20 minutes and we will look like beautiful
02:28supermodels with this hair
02:29You know what would pair really well with this peanut butter? Alcohol? Yeah, like a nice glass of wine. It's
02:35so nice
02:37Oh my god wine! That was easy. Cheers! I think I saw a little bit of peanut butter floating in
02:42mine
02:43Only thing we're missing is some little cucumbers on our eyes. So relaxing
02:48I love spa days. We pretty much ate all this peanut butter
02:52You drank all your wine. Unfortunately. The cucumbers are gone somewhere. I think it's time to rinse this out. I
02:57think so, too
03:00So we just washed all that peanut butter out of her hair and it took forever
03:05But we got it all out. That was the most disgusting thing I've ever done and my hair feels like
03:11crap
03:11Compared to like actual hair masks
03:13I thought it did not work at all
03:15Washing it out was so time-consuming
03:18You have to rinse a lot and then really get in there with like your fingers and like with a
03:23friend's fingers to really get anything out
03:26Once I got through it and started to like comb it, it started to feel super silky and soft
03:31Not gonna lie, but I did have to like throw out a giant clump of my hair
03:35Some things are not meant to be DIY and this is one of them
03:39All right, so there you have it. We came we saw and we put an entire jar of peanut butter
03:44in our hair
03:45Thank you so much for watching Tesla. We'll see you next time. Bye. Bye
