00:02the things we have in america are ever-changing the studios and workshops of our stylists pour
00:10forth a never-ending flow of service and of artistry
00:57the brand feels like a journal
00:59to me if you were to open my journals this is what you would see i don't know that's how
01:05i would
01:05describe it good brands have an ethos and so you don't really have a personality behind it
01:11in almost like a very literal sense what are you talking about the sweaters how'd they start
01:18it kind of started by accident we've been working on the collection and whenever people would come
01:24over late at night i was like oh my god i want to hand stuff something into your shirt at
01:29first
01:30i didn't even want to offer it as something that we were selling to the public we wanted it to
01:34be
01:34an experience-oriented product it's like you had to have come here to earn it you had to come physically
01:39pick it up it just kind of took off
01:43this is for you yes now i'm thinking when i just got the pants done i was like i knew
01:49i needed the top

01:59the hoodie
02:00all the custom work is done in my handwriting so it feels like we're giving notes to people
02:05it kind of just became like a tag what drives the consumerism is the emotional attachment it just
02:11wearing this make me feel like i'm a part of a story on come the developments of ideas in pace
02:18with
02:19the emphatic decisions of the american people as to what they want want want want want want want
02:26streetwear now is part of the culture at least as american born on this idea ready to wear it
02:32doesn't make sense that you wouldn't address it yeah we make hoodies but we also make proper clothing
02:55my favorite place to be is in the studios it's where i live it's where i work my friends are
03:00here
03:04there's a process in between that people like to kind of be a part of or come by and try
03:08it on and
03:08see where it's at
03:16we do operate outside of the establishment if you don't have the people that are supporting you
03:22to make it happen it's not really going to happen it's a sense of community that's why it's so great
03:26as an american fashion designer today there's a lot of room to do it your own way even though it's
03:32a
03:32small shoe e-comm it's still a production and i just you know that's i just want to make sure
03:37that you she can you know get it done because she's gonna be busy yeah i know we're gonna be
03:42taking
03:42it all down so if unless you can make sure that you have it all squared away by the end

03:53i want to kind of shake things up i want to be irreverent and we can push boundaries and i
04:02want
04:02people to feel like clothing is something that they can have an actual connection to
04:12we have not started yet do you know what i mean like wait till we get a real check and
04:16people are
04:16going to let me really be the brand to my fullest potential it's going to be sorry i know that's
04:21not a pc word these days but like it's going to be wild it's cute people are going to like
