Day 3 in Dalat 🇻🇳

Our Day 3 in Dalat started off free and easy. We enjoyed an amazing breakfast at our hotel before grabbing a quick drink at Phê La, then made our way to Puppy Farm, where we ended up spending almost the entire late morning and early afternoon.

Puppy Farm turned out to be one of our greatest discoveries of the trip. With extremely reasonable ticket prices and an incredible number of activities included, the value far exceeded my expectations. We started off slowly in the first section—which had petting areas with capybaras, guinea pigs, raccoons, and dogs, alongside a restaurant and shops—thinking, "Is this really it?"

Then we walked past the washrooms, and that was where the magic began. Behind them was a huge open space featuring a beautiful Avatar-style oasis garden and a gorgeous wooden house reminiscent of the European countryside. The entire area was beautifully decorated with a Christmas theme. There were rabbits, alpacas, llamas, horses, donkeys, mountain goats, and an enclosed bird area—offering a tremendous amount for families with children.

One of the biggest surprises was the Rainbow Slide and Grass Slide. Both offered unlimited rides included in the entrance ticket, making admission an absolute bargain (especially compared to Sa Pa, where similar rides cost around 40,000 VND each). Kids and adults alike had an absolute blast!

After hours exploring the main section, we walked about 300 meters to Puppy Farm 2, which was also included in the ticket. It felt like an entirely different attraction, featuring a huge go-kart track, extensive vegetable gardens, and a massive cactus garden. We loved picking our own reasonably priced Japanese strawberries and cherry tomatoes.

The grand finale was the go-kart track! Our tickets included one complimentary round, but we loved it so much that I bought extra rounds, which were a fraction of the price back home.

We returned to the hotel just in time for complimentary tea time, where we enjoyed the cherry tomatoes we had picked earlier. After resting until dark, we headed out for dinner at Quán 33 Ốc Nhồi Thịt (hẻm 27 Hai Bà Trưng), one of Dalat's most famous spots for snail dishes. (Note: Many restaurants have "33" in their name, so search for the full name, look for the huge snail decoration on the front counter). The food was delicious, we ordered two portions of snails, grilled pig’s breast, beef dipped in vinegar soup, several other dishes, and finished with yogurt.

What started as a simple, free-and-easy day turned out to be one of the most memorable of our Dalat trip, combining animals, gardens, slides, fruit picking, and go-karts into one incredible experience.
