This place is feminizing the BBQ scene in Austin.
Transcript
00:30The barbecue scene in Texas is huge. It's got a very macho machismo flavor to it. And I think that's
00:37why at La Barbecue we wanted to change it with the quirky murals, the quirky t-shirts. Change the atmosphere
00:42from being so masculine to a little bit more feminine. Whimsical. Whimsical. We have a shirt that says stay humble
00:49on the back. It says feminizing barbecue one brisket at a time. And it's basically saying, you know, you don't
00:55have to be a dude to love brisket.
01:00We like to create kind of like a family style eating environment. We like everybody to share the meats as
01:08they order them. We kind of like to make it like a backyard kind of situation where you're comfortable. You
01:13can hang out, eat barbecue, drink beer, and yeah, or wine and have fun.
01:45The environment when you are standing in line, you know,
01:48we encourage you to drink beer. We encourage you to meet the people next to you. I mean, we've known
01:52people that have met in the line at La Barbecue and became like best friends.
02:04I love our sausage. I think that it sets us, it makes us different from a lot of different places.
02:10And we have one that's our traditional that we've had since the beginning of time. It is spicy. It is
02:18juicy. It's amazing. And then we kind of took a spin on the chipotle sausage. It is fantastic.
02:24So definitely get, you know, get one of those, whichever fits your fancy brisket. Well, of course, the brisket, that's
02:31a given. Our pork ribs are fantastic. Yeah. Everybody loves the beef ribs. Yeah. I'd say a little bit of
02:36everything, turkey, a little bit of pulled pork. You can't just pick one. That's the problem. You want a little
02:42sampler platter of everything.
02:46There's a problem. Here we go.
