00:2380s not in the 50s here uh no we've we've been blessed with some great weather here in New
00:29England the past few weeks but uh we're excited to get some warm sun on our skins this weekend
00:34Robert when you look at your defense I think you guys are doing a good job across the board
00:38is there one area that you feel like you'd like to see more improvement from yeah let's just keep
00:44getting 11 people on the same page each and every play each play is its own has its own life
00:49of its
00:50own so let's reset after every play get back to the huddle and uh figure out what we got to
00:55do to
00:56get the drive stop I'm guessing that you're not watching the show this morning on twitch or on
01:00youtube so you can't see wiggy but just so you know he just asked that question dressed as a mime
01:06uh he is dressed as a mime this morning for Halloween Robert it sounds like there's some
01:10good energy down there yes yes there is are you uh are you a dress up for Halloween guy
01:16uh I dressed up as a football player my whole life and now I have two young daughters so
01:21uh I played a character from Monsters Inc oh which one Sully yes the best one and then Nina was
01:30Boo
01:30and Ro was Mike Wazowski so it was fun oh that's great uh Robert Vrabel was pretty blunt after
01:37Chicago bringing up the 16 missed tackles zero takeaways from your position was this just a bad
01:42night for the defense or is that something you guys need to fix yeah it's something that you're
01:48continually working on throughout a season um things happen uh in a season that maybe things
01:55waned for a week and that's why we know we got to clean it up it's been a focus for
01:59us all week
01:59uh we've worked on it uh both in practice and in theory and in in theory is understanding where you
02:06are on the field so um we're going to continue working as a group as a as a connected 11
02:12and and go
02:13from there Robert when you look at this football team one of the areas where I feel like you guys
02:19got to get improvement is creating excuse me obviously those turnovers um what do you as a
02:25defense what do you have to do to give yourself more opportunities to create turnovers yeah the
02:31best way to hunt turnovers is to have them in third and long situations where they have to fight for
02:35yardage that when they're when we're up on the scoreboard um they're going to be a lot more
02:40risky with the ball so we need to get in those situations where it's third and 10 we're up and
02:46now we're really hunting the football in those situations Robert the Dolphins coming off their
02:50first win Willis played the best game of his season what makes him difficult to defend yeah he's really
02:56a dynamic quarterback back there uh I going into this week I didn't know how well he was moving
03:02around back there so he really has some wheels on him and he can make all the throws he has
03:06a strong
03:07arm and he's not afraid to throw it downfield so you really got to defend uh high to low and
03:14force him to have to get to his fifth read and then drive on the check down and make the
03:18tackle
03:18Robert I'm always curious as a person that's actually engaged in the NFL at a high level as you are
03:24with the trade deadline do you have like Schefter alerts like how do you find out about big trades
03:30is it something that any of the guys in the locker room follow or talk about yeah everyone has
03:36Instagram or some form of social media so as soon as you know Jeffrey Simmons got traded yesterday
03:42our meeting got up and everyone was like oh you see you see so I mean it word travels fast
03:47in the NFL
03:48especially when it comes to big trades like that and are you are you encouraging you know behind the
03:53scenes do you guys like are you would you be excited for a big addition or is it also sort
03:58of
03:58bittersweet because you know that may mean one of your teammates is leaving as well
04:03uh that's just part of this league I feel like we all sign up knowing that you could be traded
04:07at
04:07any point knowing that uh you might be re-signed to a different team you know this is my fourth
04:12team
04:12and uh it's really I'm excited for guys whether they get traded or whether they come here so it's
04:18really just a new opportunity for people in this league a lot of talk going into last week about
04:24Drake and about Caleb Williams and I know Drake's your guy but uh now that you had a chance to
04:29try to
04:30defend uh against him what what do you think of of Caleb Williams yeah Caleb's elite I told you
04:38or I told reporters that last week going into the game he could really do it all um elite athlete
04:45with
04:45the ability to throw 80 yards down the field so you really got to cover and stay in coverage he's
04:51number one at extending plays and uh he was able to do that more than we wanted him to
04:55last week so we're we're just going to continue uh getting back to the drawing board and uh figuring
05:01out what we need to do to get those drives stopped Robert as a leader on this team I know
05:06it's just
05:06human nature and there's a lot of young guys how do you make sure that guys don't look past the
05:12team
05:12like Miami and obviously look ahead to a team like Green Bay that you guys will be playing next week
05:17how do
05:17you make sure those you know younger guys or even maybe guys that might not have been winning a lot
05:22uh don't get caught into that uh trap game type of mindset yeah you show them the tape from last
05:28week you you show them how you prepare your level of focus every day every uh meeting so for me
05:35yeah
05:36they they ran the ball all the way down the uh or the New York Jets last week and uh
05:42if we think
05:42we're going to go in there and they're going to lay down that's uh diabolical they're going to come
05:47out swinging ready to fight ready to run the ball ready to make a statement so we we got to
05:51go out
05:51there knowing that you couldn't see it but when he said look ahead to Green Bay put his hand uh
05:57over
05:57his eyes and made the uh made the mind motion of looking ahead you couldn't see it though
06:04is Vrabel good has he showed up in a costume do you expect to see him at all is he
06:09um has he
06:10gotten into the Halloween spirit no I would say he's uh just mostly just a football coach these days
06:18all right Robert who was that guy for you though I feel like everybody you talk about you know
06:23young guys and getting them to understand that leader who was that guy for you that you said
06:28all right I want to follow his lead and maybe he showed you what what it means to be a
06:34vet in this
06:34league and a leader in this league and maybe you take from him and now helping out with some of
06:38these young guys yeah it's got to be you know my rookie year spending with coach Vrabel and then
06:44my next four years spending in Pittsburgh with Mike Tomlin and uh just the amount of
06:51one-on-one meetings I got to have with coach Tomlin over the years really helped me develop who I
06:56am as
06:56a linebacker was there a player specifically because I was with Mike Tomlin in Minnesota he is a great guy
07:02but was there a specific player for you that you kind of followed your lead after
07:08no um I there was a lot of players that I got to work with that I respected Wesley Woodyard
07:14Vince Williams older guys at the at the start of my career but at the same time I knew I
07:21wanted to
