The Fourth of July crept up on you by falling on a Friday after an almost week-long grind, and now you think you have no time to prepare a celebratory hang with your favorite people. Sound familiar? Party and events expert Mary Giuliani, who is used to pulling off planned-to-a-T shindigs for fashion industry insiders as her day (and night) job, invites us into her crib to show us the way. She shares her top-tier tricks for throwing a super-chic, last-minute barbecue like the pro that she is. Her modus operandi: Do what you can with minimum energy for maximum fun.

00:06Hi, I'm Mary and welcome to my house.
00:14I'm here to show you really quick, really last minute ways that you can throw together a party.
00:17I didn't have very much time to put together today because I just got up here and tomorrow is 4th
00:22of July.
00:23So I just scrambled around and I said, what's the easiest appetizer I can make?
00:27What's the quickest drink? That could be like a little nod to 4th of July.
00:30And what's kind of fun and unique and will get my guests out of my house into a new spot.
00:34So that's what we did.
00:47We are making a cherry margarita fizz in a container.
00:54Because it's always good to make drinks in containers because you don't have to play bartender all night.
00:58And they look really pretty too.
00:59We're going to start with our tequila.
01:03Tequila.
01:04Fresh lime juice.
01:08Sparkly fizzy water.
01:09Cut up limes.
01:11Fresh cherries, just 4 to make it pretty.
01:14We're putting our sweet agave in.
01:18Give it a nice, delicious.
01:23Now, we are ready to serve.

01:39Welcome to my kitchen.
01:41Stuffed shrimps is one of the easiest appetizers to make, so here we go.
01:45First, we put the breadcrumbs.
01:47Half a cup of Parmesan Reggiano.
01:49Two tablespoons of grated red pepper flakes.
01:53A little bit of fresh garlic.
01:55A lot of olive oil.
01:56Salt and pepper.
01:59Very easy to uncapped shroom.
02:02This is how you stuff a mushroom.
02:04Now, we're going to drizzle.
02:09Yum.
02:10I'm a big believer that you can never have enough cheese melted on something.
02:14And then we're going to put this in the oven for about 20 minutes at 350.

02:26Putting a table in a river may be a little extreme for you, but what you can do, it's the

02:31find a new spot.
02:32If you're in an apartment, just move it on the terrace.
02:34Or move it on your fire escape.
02:36Or go on your front stoop.
02:38Go in the basement.
02:38Go on top of your house.
02:39Go on your roof.
02:40Go in your neighbor's basement.
02:41That would be weird, but try it.

03:28I like to just try new things, test out new ways of serving things, and sometimes they
03:33go great, and sometimes they're horribly bad, but you never know unless you try, and sometimes
