00:07Today I'm facing my beauty fear, wearing mascara on my lower lashes.
00:11So I'm going to double dare myself to give it a try.
00:13So Annie, why are you afraid of wearing mascara on your bottom lashes?
00:18I know it's silly because I do it on my top lashes all the time.
00:21But when it's on my lower lashes I think it just looks really clumpy and obvious
00:25and I wind up taking it all off and just leaving the house without it.
00:28Well this might be one of the easiest makeup challenges I've faced
00:32because I'm going to show you really quickly three simple ways that you can make mascara easy to wear.
00:38Two of the fastest ways to make your mascara look more wearable and kind of effortless
00:45is to pair a black with a brown.
00:47A lot of women wear mascara on the top, it's not your only option
00:51but what you can do is use a complementary color or a softer color on the bottom.
00:55I love a rich dark brown for bottom lashes because it gives you depth and dimension without being heavy like
01:00a black.
01:01Second tip, use a mascara that has a small want.
01:04I love the volume mascara here because it has a really tiny brush that allows me to go right in.
01:10With mascara on the bottom try using the tip of the brush and just bringing it right through
01:14and then drag it through, let it dry and you're good to go. It won't get clumpy.
01:18I can do that but you have one more big fix, right?
01:22The big fix.
01:23Okay.
01:23And this is the way that I actually would apply bottom lash mascara.
01:26All you need for this is a sponge, your mascara, and I love to apply mascara with a small fan
01:31brush.
01:31I'm going to take my mascara, just kind of putting, depositing some mascara on both sides of the fan.
01:37Okay.
01:38And then I'm going to take a makeup sponge, just look right up.
01:41And I'm going to put it right below the lashes and literally just kind of liberally coat.
01:50And the brush will keep it from getting clumpy and allow you to get the perfect application every time.
01:57Okay.
01:58So I'm going to give this a try.
02:00This is an easy one.

02:02So I've got my sponge and I've got my brush.
02:06Now this is really a lot easier than I expected.
02:10I mean, I know it doesn't seem like the hardest thing in the world but I actually find this easier
02:15than wiggling a wand.
