Telescopic, Clump Crusher...The Rocket? The names for the latest mascaras seem to keep getting more and more bizarre aggressive, but do they actually make enough of a difference to be mistaken for false lashes, as so many of them claim?

00:03Hi, I'm Annie from Refinery29, and today's beauty test lab is Talika's Lash Extender.
00:10Talika Lash Extender is an unusual product. I haven't seen anything like this before.
00:15It basically is going to give you a false lash look, that's the promise,
00:19by doing these little tiny fibers on your lashes.
00:21So I'm going to put on mascara, then put this on, and then do one more coat of mascara.
00:26So we're going to test this out and see if I'm going to have the longest, most beautiful lashes of
00:31my life.
00:32Here's hoping.
00:33So first, I'm just going to apply my regular mascara.
00:37I'm wiggling it, because that's the secret of making your mascara go on and look natural.
00:47Now it's time for the lash extender.
00:49It's got a little wand, and you can see it has those little fibers.
00:54So I'm going to put this on.
01:09Talika Lash Extender is $28.
01:11What I did like is that it went on pretty easily, didn't have any problems there.
01:15What I don't like is probably pretty obvious.
01:17I have like a little beard, it looks like someone shaved right underneath my eyes,
01:21which is actually not the look I was going for.
01:24I do like that it goes on easily.
01:26I don't like the end result, so I'm unfortunately going to have to give this a fail.
01:31Thanks for watching Beauty Test Lab, and we will see you next time.
