00:08It sounds really cliché in a way to say, like, oh yeah, you know, all my experiences are in my
00:13music, but it's really true. I think that every person's music is reflective of the person, and for me, that
00:19involves all the places I've ever traveled, all the food I've ever eaten, all the things I've ever seen, everything.
00:38Toki Monster is basically a combination of two different words. Toki, which is rabbit in Korean, and monster, which is
00:44some weird way I decided to write monster, which is kind of the kind of person I am. A rabbit,
00:48monster, kind of cuddly and very scary at the same time.
00:51As far as inspirations for, like, what I choose to wear and my fashion sense, I try to make my
00:56style really personal, sort of. Like, eclectic, yet relevant.
01:00I like this juxtaposition between, like, high-end and street fashion. If I wear a really beautiful blouse, I might
01:06decide to wear a beanie.
01:07Wearing skinny jeans, but having these, like, really rad shoes, you know, patent leather with spikes on them.
01:12My mom was really into fashion, so she taught me to appreciate really classic pieces and a classic style. But
01:18then I'm kind of a rebel at the same time, so the marriage between the two is representative of me.
01:22And my music, because my music is the same way. My music is definitely a culmination of everything I've ever
01:27experienced. It's, like, kind of urban, but very, I guess, ethereal in a way as well.
01:31I want the audience to be able to relate to me, or some girl is watching me perform, and she
01:36could be like, well, maybe I could be like that.
01:38And that's important to me, for someone to understand that they don't have to be a certain way to be
01:44on a stage.
