00:00Well, first of all, I am blown away by seeing all you out here tonight, today.
00:06It's not now yet, though.
00:07Oh, my God, it's so thrilling to all you friends, family, and fans.
00:14First of all, I just want to thank everyone for being here.
00:17And thank you, Go-Go's, Fred, everybody.
00:23I just want to thank.
00:25I feel so thankful.
00:25And I just want to thank our team at Crest Management, and particularly our manager, Wayne Schaub,
00:32and WME and Carleen Donovan, our long-time crew, Frank Galder, who's been with us long enough
00:39to have his eyebrows grow to broaden our lengths, and Michael Hall.
00:44And we could not be the beef, because after Ricky died, we configured our band,
00:51and we had the big band come.
00:56And our band now is the best, most talented band.
00:59It makes us really shine and rock in what we are today.
01:05I'd like to thank John Andrews, Kim Urie, Sterling Campbell, and Tracy Wormer.
01:12You guys are the best.
01:14And I'd like to thank collaborators and our supporters, Jeremy Ayers, Robert Waldrop,
01:19Jamie Beard, and the Wilson family.
01:22And thanks for love and support from my wife, Monica Coleman.
01:27And love you, Ricky.
01:37Good morning, or good afternoon.
01:42We started this band just to entertain ourselves and our friends.
01:47And I don't think any of us imagined that one day we could get a star on the Hollywood Walk
01:53of Fame.
01:55So I'd like to thank Hollywood for including us in this monument.
01:59It's a badge.
02:01Thank you, Fred, Gina, Jane, and Charlotte for your support and kind words.
02:07It's a huge honor and really cool.
02:12Thank you, Fred.
02:13Fred, I want to thank Fred, Kate, and Cindy for your imagination, creativity, and friendship.
02:20And Ricky.
02:21I met Ricky when I was 16 years old in high school and he invited me to his house one
02:27day to hear some music
02:28that he had written and recorded on his T-Trap tape recorder.
02:32And I realized then that my new best friend was also a musical genius.
02:37We miss you, Ricky.
02:40And we love you.
02:44I also wish to thank our friends and fans for your love and support.
02:49This star belongs to you as well.
02:56Also supporting musicians, road crews, engineers, producers who have helped us throughout the decades.
03:02And running our manager for keeping it all together, your guidance, and doing it all so well.
03:10I think Maurice White said it best when he sang, you're a stunning star no matter who you are.
03:16Stunning bright to see what you can truly be.
03:28Hey, y'all.
03:30First, I'd like to thank Ricky, Cindy, Kate, and Keith because I could not imagine working with any other people.
03:40And I'm so happy that I'm in a band because I have no remarkable skills there for dropping out of
03:47college.
03:48And also like that, all the fans, everyone we've worked with, our band, our crew, our management across Malibu.
03:59And we're still going.
04:03We're sticking up.
04:06We'll be back here in L.A. next year at the Hollywood Bowl.
04:13So, anyway, thank you so much.
04:15This is really an honor.
04:18One more second, guys.
04:22Oh, Cindy has a baby.
04:23I'm so sorry.
04:36Thank you so much.
04:39This guy means a great deal to us all.
04:43It's been fabulous.
04:45Anyway, I'll write it down.
04:48I'm going to read mine.
04:49It says, when we first started making music in a former mortuary on Hall Street in Athens, Georgia,
04:56none of us could have envisioned this money.
04:59It's so true.
05:00Looking at the star, you know, I've struck by the sheer serendipity of it all
05:06that an unlikely group of friends could come together to high dive into the stream of consciousness.
05:13You know, you'll find a unique sound that will take us on this incredible journey.
05:21Ricky was a quiet visionary and a creative genius.
05:25But to me, he was my strength with my cool wonderful older brother, whom I loved and looked up to,
05:32and whom was me personally.
05:34Although we lost him so long ago, his legacy goes on to our music.
05:39But when, but when we lost Ricky, it was Keith's rich, that little car.
05:47He stepped out, heroically, to take out the mind wheel to ask about music.
05:55Anyway thank you.
05:57Thanks for watching.
05:58We'll see you next time.
