05:32Harold Landry, and after one play, this drive might already be in trouble.
05:37That's going to push him back for second down.

06:21Okay, one of the reasons it's so hard to work ball in the NFL
06:25is to move grown men off their spot against their will.
06:28You get a one play like that, you've done your job.
06:31You've moved them against their will, and you've set yourself up for some later success.
06:38And it's incomplete, and that's going to bring up fourth down.
06:41Well, we've been here once before already, Kate, and they converted on that fourth down.
06:45Hey, I wouldn't put it past him to try it again,
06:47but from this spot, I think most coaches would just pin it away.
06:59He's ready for their next series, let out on offense by their quarterback.
07:03And last drive, he reached one of those numbers that everyone looks at as a benchmark
07:08after the season ends, Brock.
07:10Quite the year that he's put together, finding the end zone.

07:25You always tell me that's always the start of a new battle,
07:28and the defense wins round one in this series.

08:20Well, last week he was one of the many guys
08:21held in check in that loss, right, Brock?

08:24towards a hopefully better overall effort in this one.

08:31A lot of people got to step up this week,
08:32and that's a good way to start it.

08:49Let's take a look now at A-chan's performance last week.

09:34beyond simply getting the first down.
09:36That yardage, that really sets them up now
09:38to be aggressive with a new set of downs.

10:04And this defense stringing together

10:09One thing I've grown to appreciate, too,
10:11in this just kind of analytical revolution we're in,
10:14the stats of today, Kate,
10:16it's not just saps, it's pressures.
10:18Right, it's those hits, those pressures,
10:20because you know they make a strong impact, too.

11:25And he maneuvers through the middle for a gain of four.
11:28It's one of those sneaky little runs, Kate,
11:30that gets you enough yards to create some doubt
11:33into that defensive coordinator.
11:34You could stick to the ground.
11:36You could throw B on the sticks.
11:38You really create some indecision now defensively.
11:43And...
11:43A-Chain, Cogno, A-Chain, Cogno.
11:55Gets it out wide quick, and oh, he might throw this.
11:59He's got him.
12:00It's caught.
12:01And he's brought down.
12:02What a surprise with a double pass there.
12:04Gets him a first down.
12:05Give him 25 on that play.
12:08And it's going to be first down Miami.
12:24And that's what he's got to do.

13:53nearly gave it right back to it but that one's dropped very fortunate to still have a chance to now

14:14they run the counter to A-chan
14:16finds a big lane
14:19and he gets home

14:24he just keeps scoring this season
14:28Kate that's just simply the difference making edge that these elite running backs bring to you
14:38ready for their next series
14:39let out on offense by their quarterback
14:42and with where that punt's stuck in Broncos
14:44this is going to be tough to repeat the touchdown from their last drive
15:12it's a big game 19 yards as they finally take them down and that's a big game now
15:17is a miami first down tight ends will eat up every one of those opportunities to show and
15:23prove they could be chain movers as well even as they get more and more recognition in this league
15:27they're still constantly working to prove that they're playmakers too

15:46got to him looks like about 22 yards you want to know what keeps most of these defensive
15:51coordinators up during game week and preparation kate it's just plays like that it's quarterbacks
15:57being able to extend the play it puts so much doubt into that defense and that defensive coordinator too
16:07here's a champ on the pistol
16:11and they're going to get into the ground after a 16-yard game and that's going to be good for
16:16a dolphin's first down partner i know we don't see this as much in this sports but in the other

16:22i call basketball this feels like the perfect time to use a timeout because this defense is getting
16:27works the last couple of plays yeah somehow some way you've got to interrupt this momentum you've got
16:32to respond and stop the bleeding somebody on this defense has got to rise to the occasion
16:38new set of downs for him they'll start at the 38
16:45off the play fake he'll throw and the patriots get there and take him down
16:51harold landry and that is the fifth set for him this season and right there is the danger kate when
16:57you put the ball in the air how many times do we see these coordinators when you get a nice

17:01right you gain some steam on the ground you stick with the ground game they don't they call the pass
17:06and the defense reacts and reacts well

17:30and that one's too far in front of them so now they're facing fourth down
17:34here i've talked to you over the years the transition to the nfl where the windows to throw
17:38set it back out on offense their quarterback returning to the field now and this game has
17:53really been a great audition for him brock to show off how well he can do as a runner
17:57i think we could argue that his work there has actually been his early calling card in this one so

18:18that's an 11 yard pickup and it gives them the first down yak yak yak that's what it's all about
18:23in this league as a running back can you get those hard yards after initial contact this dude just got

18:36oh christian gonzalez has it and the patriots are going to have it after a 17 interception of the season
18:43when you take a look at this win streak well it is really featured some different moments moments where
18:47their offense has taken over and more
18:55being led back out there on offense by their quarterback
18:58and in a high scoring game to this point everyone anticipating well even more points as they take the field
19:18back to work after throwing the pick
19:22to the left and hauled in by likely taken down finally to curtail the damage but so 22 yards on
19:29that pickup
19:29and that's going to be a dolphin's first down well we have seen the value of a big physical tight
19:35end
19:36just like that those post routes downfield so hard to defend the great tight ends the physical tight ends
19:42it's almost as if they're posting up on the low block in basketball and you can't get around them
19:49it's away from one and i'll have a small four yard chunk there marcus jones ranging over for the stop
19:55that is just a good solid run right there i know that's pretty basic commentary but sometimes
20:00football can be basic it keeps you on schedule that kind of yards per carry and you move the sticks
20:06four yards on that first down run your second and six
20:17and you can again he's for a up the middle and that's about three
20:21down by roberts play
20:23i think one thing you learn kate when you transition from college to the nfl not every run
20:28is going to be a big play some of them well they're just destined to end in a minimal game
20:32and some of them will set up that critical play action for later
20:39and the patriots are going to make the play they get to him
20:42another one there for landry and now it's going to be
20:50it's ready for their next series let out on offense by their quarterback
20:55and as they get set partner god imagine they're bringing some urgency with them to the field this
20:59track two yeah i think you and i both know in calling these nfl games that sense of urgency
21:03can be replaced by full-blown panic and uncertainty so find a way to possess the ball and more importantly
21:09score some points

22:08you know kate they always say that tv clock you know it's more like it's more like a block
22:13especially in a situation like that it's a good thing you woke up to it able to make something out

22:26pass and by
22:26they i mean everybody involved with the line of scrimmage great job by that o-line the quarterback
22:32everyone making it look like a pass and then a huge burst of chunk run and he gets down to
22:38the 24 before he stopped
22:39and it's a gain of 11 there that picks up the first that whole operation right there kate delivered
22:45with conviction passes have to be if you want to pick up first downs and keep the drive on schedule
22:54this one's a little touch fast forward to his man coming across
22:58and he'll gain about seven on this one as he gets him down into the red zone
23:08pass and catch got him seven let's see where they go now on second and three
23:18one final shot before the half
23:22finds him in the end zone touchdown dolphins
23:27manage that clock beautifully down to the final moments brock and they get the score just before
23:32halftime that doesn't change the theme of the halftime speech but i guarantee you it adds
23:37some enthusiasm to the tone that was awesome
24:21that got on offense their quarterback returning to the field now they've certainly had no issue scoring but their opponents
24:28have been right there with them so they could really use some more points on this
24:53and they'll go play action
24:59And it's a big gain on his play
25:01Give him about 19 yards
25:03And the first down too
25:04Now after that play we've got somebody shaking up
25:07And you don't want to see serious injury
25:09In the midst of their playoff push
25:10He's being looked at here
