00:00Hello again and Happy Halloween! Today I'm going to show you how to play Friday the 13th a card
00:06game, which is just a great game to play at parties or with friends. Obviously you need
00:10a standard deck of cards and the first rule is to actually remove all of the face cards,
00:17so the kings, the queens, and the jacks. But we do want to leave in the two joker cards.
00:23After separating all the face cards, make sure you shuffle the deck really well.
00:27After the deck is shuffled, make six piles of seven cards. There shouldn't be any cards left.
00:34Each pile of cards represents one cabin. So you have six piles. Each pile represents a cabin,
00:40and each player gets two face cards. Those face cards represent counselors.
00:46Now if you draw a two or an ace, that kills one of your counselors. If both of your counselors
00:53are dead,
00:54you are out. Now the object of the game is to find the two joker cards. The first joker card
01:01you get
01:01is Mrs. Voorhees' head, which needs to be found in the game before you can kill Jason. Now if you
01:10draw
01:10the first joker card, you can resurrect one of your counselors. If both of your counselors are still
01:16alive, you have to resurrect the other player. If all counselors are alive, when you find the
01:21first joker card, the Mrs. Voorhees' head, continue playing. If all other players' counselors are dead,
01:29and you still have some remaining, you immediately win the game without finding Jason. Once you find the
01:34second joker card, that is Jason. And if you find Jason, you have killed him, and you automatically win
01:40the game. Each player's turn, you pick a pile to take a card from. You're looking for Jason, and you're
01:46looking for Mrs. Voorhees. If you get a two or an ace, one of your counselors is dead. Now the
01:52cool thing
01:52about this is if you want every player to have at least two face cards, it can accommodate up to
01:58six
01:58players. It can also accommodate up to 12, since there are 12 face cards, but there really aren't enough
02:04death cards. I mean, it does make it a little interesting knowing that no one else can die, and you're
02:10all just
02:10looking for the jokers. But because we're only using the twos, the aces, and the jokers, you can
02:18assign different rules to the rest of the cards if you so choose to make it interesting. For instance,
02:24if you wanted to make six a skip your turn, or a seven a reverse, going the whole reverse direction
02:32if you have a lot of players. I mean, you can even make it really interesting if you wanted to
02:37pick like
02:37the five of clubs to get another counselor. But yeah, it's a very simple search and kill game,
02:48which is great for parties and great for Halloween, or great if you play it on Friday the 13th, because
02:54it leaves a lot of room for flexibility while still being fair and easy to play. I'll obviously post all
03:02these standard rules down below in the description. If you have any questions, please let me know.
03:06I also made a digital version that you can play in a web browser if you want to mess around
03:11with it.
03:11Until next time, have a great one!
