00:00Hey, what's crack-a-lackin' gaming nation? You know this B, GiannaGamerC4, coming at you with a new unboxing slash
00:09first impressions video.
00:11And today's purchase comes from AliExpress.
00:16So the product we'll be checking out today is the Nintendo 3DS XL, or LL in Japan.
00:25Um, was it Joypad, Grip, Holder, Bracket, Dingamabobber?
00:32It's like they don't have like a set name for it, but you know.
00:36Joypad, Bracket, or Handgrip Holder, or what have you.
00:42But yeah, I only spent seven bucks on this bad boy.
00:46I've had to give it a shot, because I don't think I really bought any like handgrip accessories for any
00:54of my, uh,
00:54portables, portable gaming systems.
00:58So I thought, why not? Seven bucks, give it a shot.
01:03So it's funny, I found out that the Nintendo 3DS XL is known as LL in Japan.
01:09So for them, it's Nintendo 3DS Large Large.
01:14And I shit you not, that's what it really is down there.
01:17Because you know, it's Japan.
01:19They gotta be eccentric.
01:23But you know, here, it's like, extra large.
01:26In the US, so.
01:28Yep, so it's the LL.
01:32Alright, so let's go ahead and un-bagger.
01:36Okay.
01:38So here we are.
01:41Nice.
01:43Black, hard, black plastic.
01:49So yeah, you got a better look here.
01:52So this is where you place the 3DS XL, or LL.
01:57So those are grips.
02:00Okay, I like the way the grips feel.
02:01It's pretty nice.
02:03And the back of it.
02:07Huh.
02:08Okay, I'm not sure what this little part's for, but okay.
02:11Oh, it's a stand, it says.
02:13Okay.
02:15Guess we want to play it like that.
02:16Okay, that's interesting.
02:19Okay.
02:22But yeah, it's a nice hard plastic.
02:24Doesn't really feel flimsy, but I guess we'll know once we install the 3DS.
02:30And go from there.
02:30Okay, so I did realize that this gaming accessory was also made by the same people who made the external
02:38PSP battery that I bought from AliExpress.
02:44I think the company was called Ostent.
02:46So I think this is the second accessory I purchased from them.
02:49But if you guys want to check out my review of the PSP external battery, feel free to check it
02:54out if you like.
02:56Might put the link in the description or embed it in this video, what have you.
03:01But yeah.
03:03Okay, so let's go ahead and jump right into it.
03:09There's the 3DS XL here.
03:14Ooh, okay.
03:16Installation is very simple.
03:19Yeah, snapped in pretty easily.
03:24Wow, okay.
03:27Ooh, okay.
03:29Ooh, I am loving the feel.
03:31Like, holy shit.
03:33Oh, that is very nice.
03:34Okay.
03:35That is very nice.
03:38Oh, dude, with the weight of the 3DS, it feels like a full-on gamepad right here.
03:43This is so cool.
03:45Okay.
03:48All right.
03:49Let's go ahead and power it on.
03:54All right.
03:55I am digging the feel here already.
03:57See how the triggers feel here.
03:59Oh.
04:00Okay, okay.
04:02All right.
04:02The triggers definitely feel like they're in the right place here.
04:08Like, nothing's, like, blocking it.
04:09The bracket's just, like, I guess, free of any obstructions.
04:15So, it doesn't block the triggers.
04:18So, that's good.
04:20But, yeah.
04:21Go ahead and test some games with it.
04:23And I'll give you the Vedic.
04:27All right.
04:28Test it out with a little Luigi's Mansion.
04:31Ooh, got some ghosts.
04:34Come here, ghosty.
04:39I guess we can blind them first.
04:40Oh, shit.
04:43Hold on.
04:43Hold on.
04:44There we go.
04:50Yeah.
04:53Oh, man.
04:55It's not a...
04:55It feels like the ghost busting feels even better with the grips here.
05:00Oh, what the...
05:01Oh, freaking spider ghosts.
05:04Just crazy, man.
05:07Oh, you dirty bastard.
05:08Come here.
05:09Come here.
05:10Come on, big boy.
05:12Thought you're all tough now, huh?
05:14I don't think so.
05:17Yeah, shit.
05:18Yeah, shit.
05:21Nice.
05:25But even going up and down with the freaking vacuum with the grips, I don't know, it feels
05:29way better than just playing, you know, the default way with just the 3DS.
05:37All right.
05:38All right.
05:39All right.
05:39Works pretty well with Luigi's Mansion in Dark Moon.
05:42Oh, so another neat feature about this bracket.
05:46It's like it does not block the cartridge slot, thankfully.
05:50So that's perfect.
05:51You can just slide it out, replace the game without any issues.
05:55All right.
05:56We'll try a little shinobi action here.
05:58And I think this would be a perfect game to test the hand grips with.
06:11Yeah.
06:13Oh, my God.
06:14Feels so good with the freaking hand grips here.
06:18Or a joypad bracket or whatever they want to call it.
06:23It just feels right.
06:33Oh, my God.
06:35Oh, there we go.
06:37Even the parries feel good, man.
06:39Jeez.
06:46Okay.
06:46I'm really enjoying this joypad bracket so far, man.
06:49Like, it just feels like, oh, it almost makes you forget that you're playing a portable
06:54gaming system.
06:57Like, this is crazy.
07:00Crazy.
07:03Yeah.
07:04Shinobi goodness.
07:08Chicken.
07:10Remember that in Tekken?
07:12Tekken 3, I think, was, like, the first Tekken game where they started saying chicken.
07:19Woo, parry.
07:20Ha ha.
07:22Oh, come on.
07:23Stupid fire.
07:24Fire.
07:25Fire.
07:31Woo.
07:32Okay.
07:33Oh, yeah.
07:35You're dead now.
07:36Ha ha.
07:37All right.
07:38Works very well with shinobi.
07:39And I have not finished this game, by the way, so.
07:44I think this gives me more incentive to beat some 3DS games and original DS games here.
07:49But, yeah, it works great with shinobi.
07:52Holy crap, dude.
07:54All right.
07:54We'll test a little Sonic Generations here.
07:57And play the 3DS exclusive Emerald Coast stage.
08:02That wasn't present in the console versions, fortunately.
08:06Remember when I had this on PS3, I was like, oh, man.
08:09We didn't get Emerald Coast.
08:11But now, I can play it.
08:16So freaking good, man.
08:18Love it.
08:23Yeah.
08:26Woo.
08:27This feels so good.
08:29And to play a freaking 2D version of Emerald Coast is even better.
08:34But you already know Sonic games definitely were made for a gamepad, so.
08:41Yeah.
08:41I'd say this hand grip definitely works so well with this.
08:45Ha ha.
08:45Hands down.
08:48And, of course, we have to do Modern Sonic real quick.
08:52Yeah.
08:56So good.
09:02Wee!
09:03Woo-hoo!
09:10Wee!
09:29I'll have to wait for the little
09:32there we go
09:32thank you Echo
09:34I killed the dolphin right there
09:36okay whatever
09:40I think I had to time it just right to bounce off
09:43them but it's all good bro
09:45next game
09:47or actually no we'll just end it there
09:49alrighty folks so I'm going to give you my
09:51two cents on the
09:52ostent Nintendo 3DS
09:55XL or LL depending on your
09:57region hand grip
09:59or was it
10:01joypad or gamepad
10:03bracket
10:05so the overall build quality
10:07is fantastic
10:09it's nice and durable
10:11has a nice black
10:13color
10:13kind of like a
10:15somewhat shiny
10:16black color to it
10:17not glossy but a little
10:19matte
10:20finish to it
10:22but yeah
10:23feels really good
10:24it really does feel like
10:26like a full on
10:27gamepad
10:28so installing it is fairly easy
10:31just
10:31snaps on easily
10:38and I love how it doesn't
10:39obstruct the
10:42cartridge slot here
10:43so that's always good
10:44and it doesn't block the
10:46triggers either
10:46so
10:46when you're actually playing
10:48actually feels
10:49pretty good
10:50to use the triggers
10:53but yeah so like
10:54once you install the
10:553DS into the bracket
10:58like it has a nice
10:59weight to it
10:59so it actually feels
11:01like
11:01like a little
11:03heavy
11:04gamepad
11:05or console controller
11:07if you will
11:08so I'd say
11:09overall they really
11:10captured the
11:11home console
11:12experience
11:13of a
11:14of an actual
11:15like joypad
11:16or gamepad
11:18because you know
11:19like the 3DS
11:20installed and everything
11:21like
11:21it has some good
11:23weight to it
11:23like as if you're
11:24really playing with
11:25a real
11:26gamepad
11:27and it almost makes
11:28you forget that
11:28you're playing a
11:29portable system
11:29here
11:30so yeah I think
11:32Ostint really
