Addressing a gathering in Hyderabad, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a sharp attack against Rahul Gandhi and the opposition, arguing that their mock parliaments outside are held only because they cannot face the Prime Minister on the floor of the House. The Bharatiya Janata Party kicked off a padayatra campaign to counter the opposition's recent rally in the national capital, where demands were raised for the removal of the Chief Election Commissioner amid criticism over the SIR matter. Defending the electoral roll revisions, Shah asserted that the removed names belonged to infiltrators who had previously been permitted to vote, maintaining that such practices will not be permitted under the current regime.

00:00All right, Amit Shah there concluding his speech.
00:02A fiery one with an all-out attack at the opposition and Rahul Gandhi saying that the only reason they're
00:09doing mock parliaments outside is because they cannot face the Prime Minister on the floor of the House as well.
00:15So that's the big one coming in from Home Minister Amit Shah as he kick-starts this massive campaign that
00:21the opposition has got, that the BJP in fact has got going against the opposition.
00:25Flags in hand, there was a bit of a paddyatra before and then that fiery speech attacking Rahul Gandhi and
00:31the opposition on all the criticism that the BJP has been facing on the SIR matter and the role of
00:38the Chief Election Commissioner as well.
00:40Remember, just over this weekend, the opposition had a massive rally here in the national capital, also a mock parliament
00:46of sort where they asked for the removal of the CEC one more time as the Chief Election Commissioner.
00:53The BJP there, ever since then, has come out with a paddyatra campaign of its own.
00:58It's a tit-for-tat campaign that is going on between the opposition and the BJP.
01:03And the BJP at the moment saying that the entire endeavour by the opposition is to ensure that the ghuspaitiyas
01:13are inside.
01:14And saying those, Amit Shah there, being very categorical, that all those names that have been removed have actually been
01:20of ghuspaitiyas, of infiltrators, who were being allowed to vote earlier on, but that shall not be allowed under the
01:28BJP regime.
01:29Amit Shah there in Hyderabad with that very fiery speech.
01:34Remember, this is just the start of the many that will follow by other BJP leaders as well that and
01:40will be happening across the country, especially in poll-bound states of UP and Punjab.
