Transcript
00:00I'm from Boston. We go to Miami, Florida, with our colleague Carlos Montero, who has all the
00:05latest information on what is happening there at this hour. Go ahead, Montero, we hear you,
00:10and thank you very much for joining us again. Thank you, Alejandra. We are here in Miami,
00:16behind us the beautiful background of the city and what they are expecting, the Republicans.
00:22You know, here in Miami, in Florida, there are a lot of Republicans. It's that tomorrow,
00:27a lot of Republican goes to vote because so far, like you were saying before, 55 million people
00:35already vote by mail or they were in person. And so far, the Democrats, they are going ahead,
00:44and it looks they are going to take both chambers, the Senate and the House of Representatives.
00:51But let's see what's happened tomorrow. Let's see how many people are going to go there
00:57to vote. Today, all the candidates, not only here in Florida, in the whole United States,
01:03they are trying to convince the people who are not sure who are they going to vote. But if the
01:09polls are right, it's going to be a Democrat. It's going to, they are going to win, like I said
01:16before, in the two chambers, and it's going to be a balance of power. So far, the Republican Party,
01:22President Trump, he has, he's in control of the two chambers. And if that happens, what everybody
01:28think is going to happen, that the Democrats are going to take control of the two chambers,
01:33it's going to be really difficult for Donald Trump to take alone all his plans he has for his two
01:40years left in the government. A couple of things about Donald Trump. He's going to be today in
01:46Washington, closing his campaign. He's not on the ballot, but everybody talk about Trump.
01:52The honest truth is that this is a referendum. Are you happy with Trump? You are going to vote
01:58for Republican. You are not happy for Trump. You are going to vote for a Democrat. But what I was
02:05going to tell you about Donald Trump yesterday, he was in a couple of states that he won in the
02:10past.
02:11So, I mean, he's scared that he's going to lose it. And he said, okay, what's happening if we lose
02:17in the Senate and in the House of Representatives? Okay, I'm going to have to issue executive order.
02:24That's something really scary because it's going to make everything go slowly, and that's going to
02:30complicate the life of the American people. American people, so far, for the numbers we are seeing,
02:36they are very unhappy with the economic situation. It's the concern number one. Corruption is something
02:44that bothers a lot. Iran, the war in Iran, they are not really happy, and let's see tomorrow what's
02:50happening. We can have a surprise. Honestly, I don't think it's going to happen, but if the Republicans
02:55decided to go to vote tomorrow, we can have a big surprise. But it's going to be a big surprise
03:01because everybody here is saying that tomorrow, Democrats, they are going to win in the
03:07governorship, local places they are in right now, and also the two houses. Let's see what's
03:14happened. Tomorrow, 7 o'clock in the morning, they are going to open all the places where you
03:19can vote. 7 o'clock, 12 hours, they have to vote here. The vote difference, like in other countries,
03:25like Argentina, is not an obligation. You don't have to vote. But let's see what's happened. Many
03:32people, many analysts say those are the most important midterm election of the last 100 years
03:39in the USA. Let's see what's happened, but it's going to be really exciting, and we are going to
03:43be in different places to show you what's going on in those elections from here in Miami. Alejandro,
03:49I'm going back to you.
