00:03Good evening, everyone. I hope you're well. Sorry for the small delay.
00:06We'll start with questions from English media first, follow any questions from German media.
00:11We'll start with Martin, thank you.
00:13Hi, Enzo. We spoke to Martin Demichelis a few minutes ago.
00:17How would you describe your relationship with him?
00:20Yeah, it's years ago we met when we played together in Malaga
00:27and since then we are very, very close.
00:32We live in Spain next to each other, so, yeah, we are close.
00:44Hi, Enzo. Martin mentioned Willy Caballero as well, who's obviously on your staff now.
00:50What do you look for from William, from the rest of your coaches,
00:55in terms of do you want them to agree with you all the time,
00:58disagree with you all the time, what are their roles and how do they help you?
01:03Yeah, since Willy is with me, since Leicester, since I started,
01:13Willy, like the rest, we are always trying to evolve, to improve.
01:20We are looking for new things, new ideas, and Willy is one of them.
01:26And, yeah, for sure, I don't want them to always agree,
01:30because otherwise it's not worth it.
01:33But, yeah, it's an important part of the coaching staff.
01:39We're about to speak to Phil in a minute.
01:42When you were here last time at City, it was sort of that era where,
01:47that part of his career where he was hitting real kind of heights
01:49and winning awards, et cetera.
01:52How far is he off that kind of level at the moment, do you think?
01:55How close is he getting back to that kind of level?
01:57I see Phil day by day better and better, for sure, 100 per cent.
02:04I said already many times that he's going to give us many things this season.
02:09Again, we are in all the competition, we have many games,
02:13at the same time we have 20 senior players, all of them very good,
02:19so it's good also to have competition between them.
02:22I said many times that Phil, Ryan, more or less they are in the same position,
02:28but, again, I'm very, very happy in the way Phil is working every day.
02:37Just on Phil again, he's obviously been in and out of the team
02:40in the Premier League during the season.
02:44If he's had a steady improvement under you this year,
02:47what is the extra 10-15 per cent you want to see from him?
02:51Listen, it's not just about Phil, I think it's about the same thing,
02:56you know, in and out of the team, it can be for, I don't know,
02:59Ryan, for instance, Cherki or for Illyman.
03:04I mean, it's because we have so many games and we are so many good players,
03:09so the idea is not, and again, I said many times,
03:12this is not a short run, it's not a sprint, it's like a marathon,
03:18so we need to think about 65 games and now for me it's very important,
03:23for sure, in this moment to win games in the way we are trying to do,
03:29but it's also very, very important to arrive February, March, April,
03:34when things are going to be more exciting,
03:38to have all of them available and fit.
03:42Thank you, Sam.
03:47Obviously Erling Haaland scored, he's always scoring basically,
03:51but with regard to your team, how much of a concern is it if he does not score,
03:56you're not getting many goals from other areas?
04:02I said, for me it's very important that in each game we create chances,
04:09for sure when you have Erling inside the pitch,
04:12it's better because he's going to score goals,
04:15or you know that it's always there close.
04:17At the same time we cannot rely on Erling for every game,
04:21we need also the rest to score goals, but in this moment,
04:25again, I think the last game against Brighton was the only game of the season where we didn't score,
04:32if I'm not wrong, I think so anyway, but for sure if Erling is in the pitch we are happy,
04:39but also we need the rest to score goals.
04:43Hi Enzo, can I just ask about Elliot Anderson?
04:46Obviously he started really well and he's talked recently about, you know,
04:51one of his heroes when he was growing up was Kevin De Bruyne and he can make those kind of
04:55passes,
04:56but obviously he's playing in a role that's a bit more Rodri or Fernandinho's.
05:00What role do you think he will eventually settle into?
05:04Because obviously he's so young and he's just starting at City,
05:07where do you think he will end up playing for you and being most important?
05:11I think in this moment he's playing in the position where in this moment
05:15it's the best for him, that is, as you said, like an old midfielder, like a six,
05:21but in the future no doubt that he can be also number eight, I mean arriving in the box,
05:28because as he said he has a good pass, also I think he can score some more goals,
05:33but in this moment I'm also trying to know all of them in the right way.
05:39Again, it's just for a month, so I need to know them better and they need to know me better,
05:46so it's on both sides, but for sure, no doubt that Eliott can be also a number eight
05:53that arrives inside the box.
05:55I'll take some questions from German media.
05:59No? OK, we'll leave it there.
06:02Perfect, thank you.
