A woman who experienced stillbirth just months ago shook with happiness and shock when she broke the news to her family that she was pregnant with rainbow triplets. Jenna Johnson, from San Antonio, Texas, went through one of the toughest periods of her life with husband Justin after Christmas 2025. During that time, Jenna was reaching the end of her first pregnancy, and her family was excited to welcome a baby boy in the new year. On December 30, Jenna felt the baby kicking well into the night, and the following day, the couple had what they thought was a routine 38-week scan. But Justin said the doctor could not hear the baby's heartbeat, and they were then rushed to the labor and delivery unit, only to be given bad news that they "would not be coming home with their little boy." The next few days were "heavy," the couple said, as Jenna was still required to give birth. Family members offered their support every step of the way, and the couple later named their baby Lucas because of his name’s meaning: bringer of light. After having an initial period to grieve, Jenna and Justin made the decision that they wanted to start trying to build a family as soon as possible, and, to their shock, they fell pregnant just two months later. The couple decided to keep the news quiet, as they were nervous that Jenna's body hadn't fully healed after Lucas' birth. But then, at their ultrasound scan, Jenna and Justin saw two clear forms, before the technician said, "I think there’s three...”

00:00If you would have told me a year ago this is what was happening, I wouldn't have believed you at
00:06all. I really wanted to be able to capture all of our family's reactions to us telling them that we
00:12were having our first baby. My pregnancy with Lucas was really special. I was healthy the whole time
00:18he was healthy. Every appointment it was so exciting to hear his heartbeat and just get
00:24closer and closer to our due date. On New Year's Eve morning, we told our family, you know, we have
00:29a quick appointment. Then we can get to all the fun New Year's Eve stuff. The day before, I had
00:34felt
00:35Lucas kicking, so we didn't think that anything was wrong. We're doing the routine check of his
00:39heartbeat and he was perfectly still. The doctors confirmed that he had passed, that he didn't have
00:46a heartbeat anymore. I was in the hospital for five days so that I could go through the labor and
00:52delivery process and deliver my sons. I don't know how we would have gotten through that week without
00:57our families being there for us. We decided pretty quickly that we wanted to try again
01:02as soon as we could. It's okay if it's not. I know that we have lots of babies coming, but
01:11I'm so nervous. Okay. I didn't realize how hard emotionally that was going to be when I found
01:18out that I was pregnant. Is my body ready? Am I emotionally ready? Is this going to end in heartbreak
01:23again? We were so excited when we found out, but then it kind of hit me. I didn't have the
01:34ending
01:34that I wanted with my last pregnancy. We were so nervous going into that ultrasound. Right away,
01:40we saw that there were two sacs. Our doctor kept looking around and she said, oh wait, there's three
01:46heartbeats in here. We decided we need to tell our family as soon as possible. This is really big news.
01:52We need to call our parents. So as soon as we got home, we called my parents first.
02:11So that was baby A.
02:13What? You're kidding, right? You're totally joking.
02:46We called my husband's parents right after and I loved their reaction because they had just told us,
02:57you know, we've been praying for you and we are so excited that you're having one baby. And then we
03:03told him about the other two. That is so great. So do you know like details, like how far along
03:11you are?
03:12What? Yeah, well. Well, so that's, that's baby A.
03:19What? And we just sent you baby B.
03:25Wait, what does that mean? What does that mean?
03:29And then we sent you another picture of baby C.
03:33What? Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
03:36Wait, I'm so confused.
03:40There's baby A, baby B, baby C.
03:44Are you kidding me?
03:46No.
03:47What?
03:53What?

04:04we're very excited we were having one baby there was excitement for two babies and then when we
04:09said there is a baby c all of their jaws just dropped and then there's baby b and then there's
04:18baby c it's way zoomed out because there's no this is real i don't understand it was a really special
04:40moment to be able to share that with the people who had been with us for the last couple of
04:45months

05:26that has been really really really hard but also really good we are having two identical girls and
05:33a boy which is really exciting that's exactly what i wanted this pregnancy has been very physically
05:38challenging because i've had a baby in january and now are carrying triplets it's been really hard on
05:44my body i fully believe that my son knows our triplets he's their older brother and that he is
