01:06I mean, very much a straight shooter, got that Michigan grit and that Michigan scrappiness that he says things, he
01:15says what he means, he stays on message, and he doesn't.
01:19All that noise and all the vitriol and all the hate, you know, he ignored it.
01:29Our politics have to be so much bigger than the narrowness of the Republican Party these days, and I think
01:35it has to be so much bigger than the baseline racism that feels deeply entrenched in the politics that they
01:42often are defaulting to.
01:43And I think that's what I find really disappointing in, like, not having a real sincere strategy for progress in
01:50the future.
01:51The past two years have been wasted, and I think that that to me feels like the really disappointing part
01:56of my youth.
01:57You know, I have not had a presidential election without Donald Trump on the ballot.
02:03And to me, this is a really great idea of what the future looks like without him.
02:07And it looks like one of diversity, of curiosity, of creativity.
02:12That's what I'm excited about.
02:13The way he handled it with such grace was just amazing for all of us.
02:19He made it about his identity, but for me it was about his principles and values and his ethics.
02:23And I think that's what pulled the American people in, not just his Muslim identity.
