00:00But the Falcons, of course, have landed in Madrid.
00:02They've already been after it, got to practice in.
00:05Bengals already touched down as well.
00:07By the way, there was a video of the social media team for the Falcons
00:11asking all the players before they got on the plane yesterday
00:13whether you're allowed to recline or not.
00:15And you know basically everyone said yes, except Chris Lindstrom.
00:21No doubt.
00:21He said no.
00:22No, you do not recline.
00:23I find that, I was going to say, and here's the thing,
00:27Vogue can expand on this, but you never sit next to another football player
00:33on a flight.
00:34There's always a seat in between or if you have a set of two seats
00:37so you get the one empty next to you.
00:39So maybe that's part of his line of thinking.
00:41But as a big dude, he's on a commercial flight?
00:44Bro, I'm going back.
00:45I have to.
00:46But the hypocritical part of me, though, says the person in front of me,
00:49if I'm not sitting in first class, the person in front of me
00:52literally cannot recline because my knees are in the back of their chair.
00:56Like, they're not going anywhere.
00:58And I've had a lady before that thought her chair was broke.
01:01And I'm like, no, no, no.
01:02No, ma'am.
01:04That's actually my knee.
01:06She's like just hammering back on my kneecaps.
01:08I'm like, no, no.
01:08No, excuse me, ma'am.
01:09Excuse me.
01:10Don't do that.
01:10That's actually my knees.
01:12Unfortunate.
01:14Yeah, that's why Chris Lindstrom said no,
01:16because he doesn't want that happening to himself.
01:18He's not as big.
01:19He's not 6'5", Mike, or 6'6", like you are.
01:22I think he's 6'3".
01:23But he's still, that's pretty, I mean, look, that's tall for a plane seat.
01:26Look, I think it's funny that they ask him that
01:28because those guys don't have to worry about it.
01:30Because let me tell you something.
01:32I sit in steerage.
01:34You sat in steerage when you played.
01:36Players don't sit back there anymore, Mike.
01:38It must be part of the new CBA or something.
01:39I don't know.
01:40That's awesome.
01:40Because they sit up front, and they have like little pods and stuff.
01:44See, we only had one way to get off that plane,
01:46and we had to walk through the all the way.
01:47And I'm like, you're sitting up there, and you're like,
01:49you want to be put in your place?
01:51You want to be humbled?
01:53Get on an airplane like that size with that many people on it
01:56and look at where you're sitting, the back, compared to where they're sitting.
02:01And the difference in your seat, which is a regular seat,
02:04and their seat, which looks like, you know, a lazy boy up there with their own TV.
02:10I mean, it's like they have like literally a pod.
02:13Like, it'd be like when you were a kid, and you'd be like,
02:15I want to build a fortress, and you'd get bedsheets,
02:17and you'd pull like furniture together.
02:19All they got to do is put a bedsheet over when they got their own little camp.
02:22I would love, next time you, if you bump into my old teammate Todd McClure
02:26on any of these flights.
02:27He's here.
02:28I would love for you to ask him how he feels about being Driftwood now.
02:31That's what we used to call anybody that wasn't a player or a coach on a team flight.
02:35Oh, wow.
02:36I know.
02:36So derogatory.
02:37And I've been that guy.
02:39I've been that guy now.
02:40But there's nothing more maddening than like,
02:42okay, let's just say, for instance, last week you went and played in a torrential downpour.
02:46You lost embarrassingly.
02:48The headlines are already coming out.
02:50There's all this talk.
02:51And you're getting on an airplane, and there's somebody sitting there with their legs crossed,
02:55reading the newspaper, you know, probably a cup of hot cocoa,
02:58and they're just like, you know, kind of giggling about a conversation they've had.
03:01And you're like, bro, what are we doing?
03:02You know what's funny?
03:03Get off the plane.
03:05You know what's funny about that, though, is there's the people that are essential, right,
03:12which are essential, which basically, let's just dumb it down to the best thing,
03:15players, coaches, equipment guys, and the medical staff.
03:21I don't, I would, I understand that digital and that the video guys that do the all,
03:28you know, film the all 22, they're essential in a way as well.
03:32But they're not, like, they could play the game without them, right?
03:35Yeah, yeah, yeah.
03:37But then you get down to, like, where I'm at, where I am essential because.
03:43They're all auxiliary personnel.
03:45Yes, but I'm not, but I'm essential when it comes to the class of when you have people
03:52that are, like, sponsors or whatever.
03:54Right.
03:55And for them, it is a fun trip.
03:58And, look, they've earned it.
04:00They're a part of the team as anybody.
04:01They're a partner with the team.
04:03But, like, it just goes down.
04:04And, Allie, the point is, is there's a level of everybody on that plane has a pecking order
04:10of where they are at, and they're always higher than somebody else.
04:13Like, the people that are the partners, they're probably going to be like,
04:17what's this guy doing here?
04:18You don't need to be on this plane.
04:19Look at him.
04:20Look at him.
04:21Look at his AirPods in.
04:22Yeah, exactly.
04:23And I've been that guy.
04:24I've been on the flip side.
04:25But I'm that guy, too.
04:27That's what I'm saying.
04:27Like, I'm that guy.
04:28It's a humbling experience.
04:29I just wonder how Mudduck feels about that.
04:31He's now one of those personal.
04:34Driftwood.
04:34Driftwood.
04:34I got on.
04:35Just floating along.
04:36Mike, we got on the plane a couple years ago, and this guy just sits down in the seat,
04:41and then somebody goes, I think you're in my seat, and he goes, oh, you have assigned
04:43seats?
04:45Yeah, that's not good.
04:46Oh, wow.
04:49And you know me.
04:49I've been doing this a long time ago.
04:51Yeah, man.
04:51If you go back to the back, there's a sheet.
04:54There's a sheet tape.
04:54And it's got your name on it, where you're supposed to sit, and it's not a free-for-all.
04:58Oh, wow.
04:58Like a cash sheet.
04:59That's interesting.
05:00I haven't been on too many Southwest flights.
05:02Yeah, he's like, oh, I'm just going to go up here and sit in this first-class seat.
05:06That's hilarious.
