Barbers challenges VP Sara to show evidence of business divestment

House impeachment adviser Robert Ace Barbers dared Vice President Sara Duterte on Wednesday, Nov. 4, to present documentary evidence that she relinquished her business positions and interests after assuming office in 2022.

Babers urged Duterte to submit the deed of sale, electronic Certificate Authorizing Registration, and proof of her resignation from the board. He also said the VP must explain why GenCorp appeared in her Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth but not in her Government Service Insurance System records.

Finally, he demanded that Duterte present proof that she had already closed her professional taxpayer resignation with the Bureau of Internal Revenue. (Video courtesy of House of Representatives)
