00:00I know the Yankees want the bats, but this idea that Luis Garcia Jr. is going to go play second
00:05base, like Washington knows him best, and come off the second base, put him on first base,
00:11and suddenly his offense blossomed. If I were the Yankees, I would be trying very hard to trade
00:17Luis Garcia Jr. Not because he's a bad player. I think it's quite the opposite. I think the
00:22offense is real. You have Ben Rice. I don't think they're just eating Stanton's money,
00:27so they're going to show up in spring training pretending at least he's the DH,
00:30and I think you just can't look at this World Series and go, we're going to put Ben Rice at
00:36first
00:36and Luis Garcia at second, have no range, no athleticism at those two positions.
00:41I don't think Luis Garcia ever fit the Yankees. I mean, when they traded for him, they did it
00:46because they desperately needed offense. They weren't finding the bullpen pieces that they
00:50needed. He certainly performed pretty well, but yeah, I don't think he really fits the Yankees
00:55unless they believe he's a second baseman, and I don't know. He doesn't look like a second
00:59baseman. I mean, I don't recall him playing in Washington, but I've heard it didn't go very
01:03well. That doesn't mean he can't learn how to do it. He doesn't look like a second baseman.
01:09I mean, I think he's a valuable trade piece. That's the way I look at him, yes.
