01:10I'm going out this way or this way very very complicated Wow what a beautiful day in Hollywood
01:18said no one ever it takes me back 22 years December 16th 2002 I was thrilled
01:27to be honored and presented with my own walk started on the laws of fame and then my mom
01:32was there and she's gone now but my son was there and he's here today he's 37
01:40but this is George's day November 5th 2026 we're all here to recognize George a beloved television
01:47presenter and a student intrepid political commentator a strategist and an analyst and a
01:54celebrated bestselling author here's the good part he's on the board of our foundation he's been on the
02:04tremendous energy to raising funds for Parkinson's research and I'll always be grateful for that he
02:09puts it first it's really amazing illegal more about George you don't get invited into people's
02:15homes every morning while they're running around half naked getting dressed and and ready for work and
02:21rushing the kids off to school if you're a jerk why is that kind of pressure George is like an
02:28island in a
02:29sea of chaos as each of us in our own way say good morning America then there's Sunday mornings when
02:37George shifts gears and takes on the big weighty matters of the day the preceding week and the day
02:41is ahead one of the funny things about being with George all these years if he calls you it's seven
02:48in
02:48the morning it's to make lunch plans and dinner is 5 30 and he's running out the door at like
02:55six
02:56slot I think it's just a ruse not to pay the bill we're at the other thing we have in
03:03common is we're
03:03both men of average height you know he may be a little bit taller but we're both lousy golfers well
03:12he may be a little bit better than me but that's a whole staying still over the ball thing I
03:16can't
03:17handle our wives Ellie and Tracy have been friends for years our kids are very good friends we ally at
03:23Harper our family's one vacation the other went to Greece twice team for me if you ever want to be
03:28invisible go to Greece with George Stephanopoulos no one will ever see you George always has to go
03:39home early he takes the job very seriously it's part of the work he gets to do he loves the
03:43people
03:44who watch him every day and I've seen him on several occasions have a chat with him and leave them
03:47happier than he found them unless they're Greek in which case they tear his clothes and cut up
03:52except with his hair and he's got a lot of hair um now the reason why we're uh do I
03:59have all this
04:00that's supposed to be it the reason we're all here so it's the 2028 presidential election
