opening post on When the White Wolf Walks Away, and the crime here is not theft. It is a credit transfer.
Roman spends five years outside doing the part nobody watches. Somebody else stays inside, talking. When the empire is finished, the man with the story gets the name on it.
That is worse than stealing. A thief has to hide something. This man just has to be presentable.
And the two women he did it for believe the version they were told, because it was told well and told first.
Nobody betrayed him in one act. They betrayed him with a better sentence.
✨ What worked for me:
- The liar never claims he built it. He just never corrects anyone.
- Roman never argues his case. He leaves.
✨ Bottom line: he was not robbed. He was edited out.
Whose version would you have believed?
— K, karma is a dish best served on screen 🥂
