00:05:01team yeah oh okay that's right because why because they're fourth in the big 10 right now right

00:05:06usc is the last team in the big 10 with only two losses michael who's fifth in the big 10

00:05:13i only worry about um the team illinois i only worry about three losses everybody you're talking

00:05:19about us losing on saturday when that's all your entire conference is done everybody has one of

00:05:25those teams will have three losses this is the most mid sec crew conference that i've seen in a while

00:05:33you have no like there's no base to you there's no nothing to you you know when you make a

00:05:40you know

00:05:41when you make your gumbo or jambalaya yeah you make that rue that base that whole you guys have

00:05:46none of that in the sec i'm not an actor am i doing a good job making an incredulous face

00:06:45lsu what are the other games that you're looking at here what's your most anticipated matchup of the

00:06:49weekend i mean again they're all awesome um oh we didn't why don't we put the big 10 on the

00:06:57graphic no we don't need pages no you're right uh i mean the holy war is incredible right first ever

00:07:01the holy war at any given year is already one of college football's greatest spectacles some of the

00:07:08most passionate fans in the entire world some of the most fundamental tough hard-hitting hole is

00:07:14greater than the sum of its parts football that you will ever see so the fact that you now have

00:07:19two

00:07:19top 10 teams in the holy war in rice eckles that's going to be absolutely fantastic i'm fascinated

00:07:25by kentucky here because tennessee at home as we'll get into the toughest places to play in the

00:07:30entire country uh is is one of the loudest environments that i've ever set foot in even

00:07:34when they're not good much less when they have an arch rival who's ranked ahead of them and a chance

00:07:40to upset the apple cart there who knows what to make of texas is this their death knell and then

00:07:45obviously the big one uh is miami notre dame and chief i know you have to be feeling

00:07:51you're i'm not saying you're happy about it uh but malachi tony gonna be out saturday night like

00:07:58y'all have to win like actually chief does this increase the pressure on you

00:08:01yeah it's a real shame malachi tony's out you want to always want to go best on best

00:08:06uh yeah i look at i think there's pressure either way i think when those college football

00:08:11playoff rankings came out notre dame was 11 and there's been this whole to do about all

00:08:16if notre dame's in the top 12 then they're going to automatically be in if you start them at 11

00:08:22and

00:08:22they get their second loss then they can dismiss notre dame so this to me is a must win if

00:08:27you

00:08:27want to be in the playoffs um it's at notre dame it was a tight game last year notre dame

00:08:33got

00:08:33screwed out of the playoffs last year they're trying to do it again to them this year but i do

00:08:38think that

00:08:39they have enough i worry about notre dame's lack of explosives on offense they just don't have that

00:08:44jeremiah love factor that they had uh the last couple years but cj car has got to get it done

00:08:50it's at home you win this game they should be i don't know maybe by the end of it a

00:08:55top two or

00:08:56three team uh and then you just get ready to to coast to the playoffs so it's a it's a

00:09:00monster monster

00:09:01game and it's a signature win opportunity for uh for freeman i i agree with everything that you just

00:09:07said and and maybe the tony news changes this what i'm about to say but i feel like i'm on

00:09:14an island

00:09:14in that i'm not convinced that even with a loss here that notre dame doesn't find their way back

00:09:21to the top 12 now it doesn't look like a guarantee it would definitely be an uphill climb but even

00:09:26though i'm talking trash having fun to katik about like you know the the three lost big 10 teams

00:09:30that is coming for the sec i mean already this weekend we see a lot of these two lost teams

00:09:36toe to toe like if kentucky loses they'll drop if old miss loses they'll drop if texas loses they'll

00:09:42drop or georgia or bama so like yes some of those teams will rise but will they jump notre dame

00:09:47it

00:09:47remains to be seen um so i i don't i don't know if i would quite declare dead in the

00:09:52water but

00:09:53certainly if you win you are basically automatically in uh it's it's it's a massive stage no tony's a

00:10:00bummer very excited for that one uh mikey what matchup in the big 10 has you most pumped this weekend

00:10:23but i'm really focused on miami notre dame because i'll be there and i can't i can't cuss so i

00:11:57rooting for the the wildcats on that one they're underdog story here in the sec and it's going to

00:12:02be an awesome game so that's one i'm going to be looking forward to but you just look at this

00:12:13just belly up and watch ball for seven to seven to eight hours until you get a nice little buzz

00:16:02now how they have like the main people in new york and then they have like a separate show in

00:16:07like we got us in chicago we got t bob down there in louisiana that makes you anderson cooper

00:16:11i i guess so in a way yeah i guess so awesome i made him dick well i had could

00:16:17you know i don't know i think just like to really make it real you guys should kiss maybe we

00:16:23a little bit well we'll see what happens we've still got plenty of show left but we do have to

00:16:32i know it was a a dreadful game it was not uh the most entertaining it was a 33 to

00:16:3710 victory uh for

00:16:39the jacksonville jaguars over the ravens in this game it seemed like the ravens showed a little bit

00:16:43of fight in the first quarter but then eventually the jaguars just completely dominated them uh in the

00:16:49room i want to get you your guys take just how good are the jacksonville jaguars are you buying the

00:16:55stock and are they maybe being a little bit overlooked here in the afc i think i am i mean

00:16:59trevor lawrence is playing out of his mind i think parker washington's playing as a top five receiver in

00:17:05the league their offensive line is playing well i i like him a lot yeah i mean you look ever

00:17:11since

00:17:11they hired liam cohen they've had one of the best records in the league and trevor lawrence just looks

00:17:16like an absolute dog out there and you see the stats up on the screen he looks confident he's got

00:17:21a great

00:17:21offense and then obviously an amazing defense um that run defense to go against derrick henry yeah

00:17:27shut him down 55 yards i mean they've i think the stat was they haven't given up a 75 yard

00:17:33rusher in over

00:17:34two years that's that's crazy i don't know don't quote me on that but i think you just said it

00:17:40on

00:17:40live tv yeah all right quote me yeah but they're very very balanced they have awesome defense and

00:17:46their offense is cruising as well so yeah i think it's time to start taking them seriously and you

00:17:51know i think they're they're gunning for that one seed well you just look at the defense too

00:17:55the stats obviously in terms of rushing are there points allowed they're the second best defense in the

00:18:00league they are all around uh it's great to see the way that they've really uh developed over the

00:18:05course of this season and over the course of the past two years and it's very very hard to not

00:18:10take

00:18:10them seriously yeah and i think especially when you look at the afc playoff picture who on that list

00:18:15scares you i mean buffalo is probably still the best team i don't think the bronco broncos have looked

00:18:20not great steelers are whatever chiefs don't look the same the homes doesn't look the same

00:18:25uh the bangles you never know the patriots drake may so i i don't think anybody is uh is that

00:18:32great

00:18:33in the afc yeah that's a caleb williams drake may rivalry thing good call that's like yeah yeah

00:19:12coming for that mvp as well yeah he's he's got good odds i find there to be fascinating and very

00:19:19interesting parallels between the jacksonville jaguars and the chicago bears right now right

00:19:24both former number one overall pick quarterbacks now obviously lawrence a bit later in his career

00:19:30both though with these kind of wunderkind young head coaches both who had great year ones but we were

00:19:37kind of like okay is there going to be regression is this real and now both i think in the

00:19:43first half

00:19:43of this season have proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that both the bears and the jacksonville

00:19:48jaguars are real and in fact i mean you could be seeing a bears jack super bowl when this is

00:19:53all

00:19:53said and done because nothing about either team is fluky right we now have a large enough sample size

00:19:59where we could say that i'll be interested to see i don't know why they would maybe necessarily

00:20:05but do the jags try to add like the bears did with jeffrey simmons week 13 we'll see yeah a

00:20:11playoff bear super bowl preview there week soldier field bears jag super bowl i mean this might be the

00:20:17end of the world also for as good as the jags have looked i mean the ravens defense has been

00:20:23so like terrible they've given up 30 plus points the last three games like what like it's just not

00:20:29great yeah it's pretty tough yeah it's tough when you don't have a quarterback that's at all i mean

00:20:35huntley's okay but yeah they're always playing on their heels yeah t-bomb one huntley's out for the year

00:20:46undrafted rookie for uconn thrust into starting on a short week hey do it with a messed up ankle

00:21:08baltimore last night and if you want to talk about game planning probably one of jacksonville's

00:21:13easiest tasks given all you had to worry about was stopping derrick henry and you were going to be

00:21:19good to go what is kind of interesting to note this increases the jags already nfl leading point

00:21:26differential where they have not just been beating teams they've been dominating them they they they're

00:21:30basically lapping the field now at this point well also t bob you know you failed to mention that

00:21:34there was a monsoon last night it's a quarterback who's going in there and he's trying to sling the

00:21:39rock and it just it was not going to work but the the jags sloppy sloppy uh that was their

00:21:44sixth game

00:21:45this season where they have allowed a field goal or less in the first half wow so these teams just

00:21:51they can't get off the ground early in these games they get into a hole and these jaguars just stomp

00:21:56on

00:21:57their throats but the the ravens megan you brought it up the defense has been really really bad it's a

00:22:02top 10 worst defense in the league and jesse minner obviously a defensive guy how much of that do you

00:22:08think is just the the defense and the players on that side of the ball aren't as good versus

00:22:12the whole mentality of like your starting quarterback is out and it does kind of affect

00:22:17the rest of the operation in terms of complementary i think it's the latter and maybe maybe i'm behind

00:22:23on this but like i look at that ravens defense and you still see the name you still see roquan

00:22:28still see kyle hamilton it's like they have some guys that you're like these are foundational stud type

00:22:34players but when you don't have the quarterback and you're on the field the whole game it's just

00:22:39i think that these guys get exhausted and beaten down and and that's just that's just kind of it

00:22:43like they don't they don't have the the jimmies and joes on the offensive side anymore yeah i mean if

00:22:48you can't get a pass rush like even last night like their their dbs were kind of getting picked

00:22:52apart and like you said kyle hampton is a first team all pro like he's the guy they were still

00:22:57getting

00:22:58the part it's like if you can't get a rush you can't blame the dbs because they're the quarterback

00:23:04that's all the time in the world to to get open or to the receivers to get open but yeah

00:23:08it you need a pass rush and and then everything behind that will well and and and and to chief's

00:23:13point right like it is it is it's all symbiotic that that's sometimes i think what we forget in

00:23:18football is it's the ultimate team sport for a reason like it's all connected so as chief saying

00:23:23when you can't extend drives offensively your defense is on the field more they get exhausted

00:23:29what goes first when you get exhausted pass rush yeah then the dbs can't hold up because there's

00:23:35no pressure on the quarterback and so yeah we've called it the season from hell multiple times for

00:23:39the baltimore uh ravens this year and last night was a continuation of that theme me and katik we're

00:23:45actually talking about that off air we're talking about symbiosis so you know symbiosis symbiotic

00:23:52relationships and how they intertwine yeah what is that symbiotic relationship is if he's doing

00:25:46super bowl you had jj mccarthy you thought he sucked now he might be good you bring in kyler murray

00:25:51he sucks and now all roads lead back to wins like that is but you're good you know what time

00:26:01uh a top 10 quarterback in this league right now statistically bring him back bring back kirk

00:28:11college town college campuses you have sports going on 24 7 here at lsu we love our women's basketball

00:28:18team national champions from a couple years ago last night angel reese is in the house and my god

00:28:24the lsu women's team beat texas southern by 100 points i literally i gotta read this verbatim guys

00:28:32i couldn't memorize it word for word this comes from shea dixon very good lsu reporter love him to death

00:28:37shout out shady uh 109 point win is the largest in women's history it included a 50 and 0 run

00:28:45they had 53

00:28:47made field goals and 131 points and 36 assists absolutely insane stuff from coach mulkey and connor

00:28:56angel reese was in the crowd wait which you could argue was probably the key of the entire thing i

00:29:02mean the bayou barbie catalyst bayou barbie back in town love angel reese i hate that she lost the

00:29:06wmba finals but that's beside the point uh 50 to nothing run as you said t bob i believe was

00:29:12second quarter yeah the second quarter was 40 to nothing uh so that it didn't score a single point

00:29:17in the second quarter uh was it texas southern yeah just uh really how do you not just strike a

00:30:10and i was like you know she's got to get after it on the weekends i mean the way that

00:30:14to her just how she's just so boisterous and you know she's got she a smoker like did she drink

00:30:19and has never smoked and has never drank in her entire life damn me neither dana i was just gonna

00:30:27at the end of that clip uh one of the texas southern players was asking for a travel and there

00:30:32was no time i love that you guys play it play to the whistle down 109 asking for a travel

00:30:55to football you have played in tiger stadium you have played in death valley one of the toughest

00:31:00place place to play if not the toughest place to play in the country your experience uh playing at lsu

00:31:06and what exactly makes it such a tough place to play for any opposition so i would say this look

00:31:11i i want to be painfully clear about this all these toughest places to play conversations

00:31:17like of course it's impossible for me to separate my bias right i love this building some of the

00:31:22greatest memories i've come in this building now i would say that there's a lot of objective

00:31:27outside observers who will put this at the top of their this list that said i've always used college

00:31:35stadiums as more of like a a tier system you know are you in tier one where you can barely

00:31:42hear yourself

00:31:43think it it it feels like you're staring into the gaping maw of the mob and they want to pick

00:31:49you apart

00:31:49piece by piece do you feel intimidated when you see that crowd and there is no doubt that lsu is

00:31:56tier one

00:31:56now what puts it maybe across the finish line above others i think it's intangible i think it's a certain

00:32:05je ne sais quoi uh maybe it's the drinking maybe it's the fact that a lot of our games take

00:32:12place

00:32:12at night so you have more runway to get fired up and everything feels a little more visceral and has

00:32:17a little more edge once the sun goes down uh maybe it's the fact that since you had nick saban

00:32:24in 2000

00:32:24you've won three national championships with three different coaches and so you've had a lot of good

00:32:28players good teams on the field uh maybe it's the fact that here in louisiana we love football

00:32:35like you think you love football we love football our governor turned his entire political machine on

00:32:43to funnel money to the program to pay a hundred million dollars to get brian kelly the hell out of

00:32:50here and lane kiffin in and so y'all can judge us all you want for priorities but we love

00:32:55it okay

00:32:56and yeah two lanes great you know all these are louisiana schools are great but this is the big show

00:33:01right here the big stage the flagship and so you have an entire state top to bottom all they do

00:33:08is

00:33:08love this place love lsu yeah saturday night it's gonna get rocking to a crazy degree it's a concrete

00:33:15cathedral and what we worship is the pigskin megan how mad is he yeah um i can echo everything that

00:33:22you've

00:33:22just said i mean i've probably sat in every every spot in that uh stadium and regardless of where

00:33:29you're at whether it's you know up in the boxes whether it's in the student section whether it's

00:33:33by the band it is so incredibly electric and the passion that all the fans have it's just it's just

00:33:41something different and i know you know the slogan it just means more but i genuinely feel in baton

00:33:46rich louisiana it does just mean more there's just something about waking up after an lsu win the

00:33:52entire state is just radiating and uh yeah it's a tough place to play because we like to drink we

00:33:58like to get loud and we like to just scream profanities at everyone and i'm all i'm all bored

00:34:04and and look if if you're talking about the south as a whole uh there are cultural differences here

00:34:10like other parts of the country generally tend to be more passionate maybe about their their nfl team

00:34:15that's the biggest show in town when you look throughout the southeast a lot of times

00:34:19it is the college football program that that is like passed down from father to son and it's not

00:34:26to say you don't love the saints you don't love the falcons you don't love whoever but it's just the

00:34:30inverse of a lot of times how it can be maybe in the midwest up north out on the west

00:34:34coast where it's

00:34:35the college kids that are the uh the main draw absolutely i lived in south carolina during high

00:34:40school so t bob from southern boy to southern boy i understand what you're saying hey watch it t bob

00:34:46i want to get your take though you know obviously lsu might be the toughest place to play in the

00:34:50country what what are some of the toughest stadiums that you've played in outside of baton rouge and

00:34:55maybe do you got a list you got like a top five that you're thinking of yep yep so i

00:35:19kirby smart era because you combine that crowd with the quality of player that they're putting

00:35:25on the field i thought it had maybe a little bit of a wine and cheese type deal like i

00:35:30i really struggled to hear too too much but it's between the hedges it's 92 000 i remember winning in

00:35:37athens and i immediately went to the student section and just double birded them uh after we

00:35:42had a walk-off touchdown shout out lsu all right what we got a four here or five excuse me

00:35:47jordan hair really now jordan hair is a real one that low see again though this is all a function

00:35:53my experience okay okay and so i everybody's is going to be different based on when you play where

00:35:59you played when i played auburn we went four and one now the cam newton year the year that we

00:36:05that was probably one of the crazy i mean it's the best football player i've ever seen that was

00:36:09the best stadium i remember when he stiff arm pep he scores a touchdown to give the heisman i remember

00:36:14sitting on the bench very viscerally hearing that crowd that that that angry mob and i think it was

00:36:20like the third quarter he worked out much and i was like oh we're losing yeah yeah like it's over

00:36:25might as well pack it up we're cooked and uh shout out to jordan hair coming in there uh next

00:36:32list we got tennessee uh neyland stadium it's big advantage is it's a hundred thousand well over a

00:36:40hundred thousand it is built straight up it holds in the sound and you have a long suffering fan base

00:36:48that never lost their passion right and and even lsu fans have gotten to be spoiled at times stop

00:36:55coming to games tennessee fans never stopped showing up i remember playing there in 11 when they

00:36:59were absolutely terrible and it was a close first half it was disastrous we couldn't hear anything

00:37:04eventually we took the crowd out of it uh but yet neyland stadium one of the premier also

00:37:09sail gating on the river is awesome uh next on the list we got brian dinney in alabama and this

00:37:15is

00:37:15interesting to play there twice before they went to a hundred thousand i thought it was fine when they

00:37:20went over one hundred thousand game of the century over 20 million people watching on tv a nine to six

00:37:27defensive battle uh yeah it was it was i mean you could you couldn't hear anything dude it was it

00:37:32crazy out there and then for me what is my number one to play at is the swamp the florida

00:37:39gators it's um

00:37:40it's i i i cannot express to you how on top of you the crowd is they might be like

00:37:4815 feet behind the

00:37:51bench and when you go to florida at night and it's very similar a swamp people much like the people

00:37:57that are going to pack out this stadium tomorrow an angry dirty loud swamp people and they're ripping

00:38:04on you 24 7 it's built straight up so all that sound stays in and rebounds around and then obviously

00:38:10at that time we were playing urban meyers florida which was quite the challenge so the gators uh number

00:38:17one in terms of places i played at as an opponent but then there's no place like death valley for

00:38:22all

00:38:22the reasons we've already talked about watch this place tomorrow night because also you got a general

00:38:27anxiety in the crowd right now you got a general anxiety we get into this more people are a little

00:38:32scared right now and what that brings that fear is going to morph into anger and it's going to morph

00:38:38into this crowd trying to will lsu with everything they have to win this game tomorrow hardest place i

00:38:44played was cohass in high school back i like that you still got a double double yeah yeah yeah they

00:41:11and look clemson they've been a little lackadaisical little not not the clemson that uh was a juggernaut

00:41:24of pressure they haven't been good against good quick rhythmic offensive plays which i think and jelly

00:48:07but like can you have do you have a second third string tight end that can you can plug him

00:48:17absolutely fantastic for you this year and he's gotten better and better his game has gone as a

00:48:21year has gone on dylan jones at running back has sneakily had a great year and put up a lot

00:48:34again they use him a lot blocking now okay and and he's huge and and he's again his technique needs

00:49:26a cartoon it looks like two different human beings they shouldn't be the same species uh next key to the

00:49:32game and this one's obvious sam levitt has to let the game come to him and this is a delicate

00:49:41because levitt's greatest strength in many ways is his creativity it's his playmaking it's his balls

00:49:49like he's willing to take shots risky decisions however that can go too far right and there's been

00:49:56times this year where it's felt like you could feel like viscerally feel levitt pressing pressing

00:50:03trying to make something happen how about this sam we'll maintain that when we need it we'll keep

00:50:10that in our back pocket but trust the process trust charlie weiss jr trust lane kiffin you're talking

00:50:16about maybe the best game day play caller and game planner in the entire country trust that over the

00:50:22course of 60 minutes they're going to put you in consistent positions to succeed and if he can avoid

00:50:28getting off balance overextending over pushing that's when sam levitt's at his best that is when

00:50:35sam levitt looks like a first round quarterback hey listen trust the process right there you're

00:50:40speaking to me i love those words uh looking at these two quarterbacks right here you got keeler

00:50:44russell got sam levitt who do you think maybe has the edge coming into this one i mean from a

00:50:50pocket

00:50:51passing standpoint i think levitt but you saw the rushing guards i know levitt has more rushing

00:50:56guards but i think keelan russell just like he's more explosive with his feet he can make more happen

00:51:01with his feet um are you concerned at all t bob i know levitt likes to get out of the

00:51:08pocket and use

00:51:08his legs and take some hits is that a concern to you at all i know he can he tries

00:51:13to make things happen

00:51:14with his feet but he also takes some takes some big licks yeah no i'm not i'm not too worried

00:51:19because again that that falls into kind of that and again this is a delicate balance like yeah yeah

00:51:24there's no this is not like a multiple choice here's this is the objectively right answer but

00:51:29the balance of how do you promote his strengths but kind of protect them from them as well yeah and

00:51:34him running like that that's just part and parcel with who sam levitt is you don't want to take that

00:51:38away and and honestly uh this is this is bad if it happens but levitt has we got a pretty

00:51:46backup quarterback at lsu in landon clark who's been fantastic every time he's come on the field

00:54:44a lot and it's reared its head a lot and so when he got to that kentucky moment he has

00:54:49that statistically has also been great this year he chose to trust the defense over his offensive line

00:54:54and that could be a problem if he still has that kind of lack of trust for the guys up

00:55:00also let's point out that that game was at kentucky where historically we don't really play well

00:55:06we're back at home lane has all the crowd behind him and he has all the momentum all the balls
