00:00Creatine has great research behind it for men and women. So this is one of the supplements,
00:04you know, a lot of supplements out there in the world don't have enough research on them in times,
00:09but this ingredient has great research on it. So what it does is it helps your cells make more
00:14energy, make more ATP. And what it's been shown to do is help people have stronger workouts and
00:20therefore build more lean muscle mass. And if we have one thing that will improve our longevity,
00:26everyone, it's exercise that builds lean muscle mass. Lean muscle is our glucose sink. It's what
00:31balances our blood sugar. It's what keeps our bones strong. It leads to better cognitive function.
00:36And people who are taking creatine, about five grams a day regularly, have been shown to put on
00:42more lean muscle mass, almost two and a half pounds of more lean muscle mass through their workouts than
00:47not. And then guess what else needs ATP and energy? Your brain. And creatine has been shown to improve
00:54cognitive function, specifically in women. And when we go through perimenopause and menopause and our
00:59estrogen, like I said earlier, gets wonky and starts to decline, we actually make less creatine in our
01:04bodies. And so taking outside creatine becomes really, really helpful.
