00:03The Dallas Mavericks secured their second NBA Cup win, defeating the Utah Jazz 112-100.
00:09The game was back and forth in the first half, with both teams going into the break tied.
00:14However, Dallas found its rhythm in the third quarter, took control of the game, and never looked back.
00:19The Mavericks dominated the glass, out-rebounding Utah 55-41.
00:23They also did a great job attacking the basket, getting to the free throw line 31 times,
00:28and converting 25 of those attempts, compared to Utah's 13 of 14.
00:32We spoke with head coach Dusty May, and here's what he had to say following the win.
00:36I thought our bench was awesome tonight, and each night it would be a little bit different,
00:40but the group that played the majority of the minutes really had a major impact.
00:44Five Mavericks finished in double figures, led by P.J. Washington with 26 points.
00:49Cooper Flagg overcame a slow start to finish with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
00:53Off the bench, rookie Merez Johnson Jr. had an impressive performance, recording 13 points and 17 rebounds.
01:00With the win, Dallas improves to 2-0 in NBA Cup play, and 5-4 on the season.
01:05They will return home on Sunday to take on the Brooklyn Nets.
