Eleven thousand people had to be evacuated in Colorado in the United States when a wildfire threatened to engulf their homes.
The blaze swept across the well-known Pike Peak at high speed, destroying more than 1,000 hectares of land.
Fire officers ordered householders to be moved from Colorado Springs and surrounding towns.
