Actor Gérard Dépardieu has registered as a resident of Saransk, in the central Russian region of Mordovia.
He has already threatened to give up his French citizenship due to high taxation. He was issued a Russian passport in January.
Dépardieu's new address is on Demokratichnaya (Democratic) Street, which he told Russian television he found "symbolic".
