00:00What's happening everyone, Nick here from TV box top and welcome back to a new and exciting
00:06Android TV box review. What I have for you today is a new brand called Hyperbox and this is their
00:13latest model called the Hyperbox H10 Ultra. It falls within the special category of streaming
00:20boxes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For those of you who are new to the
00:28channel, when I say special category you may not understand what I mean or if you research the
00:35model you may not understand why it's priced so much higher than standard models. For those of you
00:41who are long-time subscribers you know the drill with these models and to see the full version of
00:46the video you know where to go. So stay tuned my review is up next.
01:03Welcome back. So after that quick unboxing, in the box you get the latest H10 Ultra model.
01:11You get one Bluetooth voice remote, one HDMI cable, a 5V 2A DC power adapter, and a user guide.
01:23Its design consists of a plastic outer upper shell with a metal base. For IO it comes with one HDMI
01:322.1 port,
01:33one ethernet LAN port, one optical audio, one AV port, one IR extender port, its DC input socket,
01:42and a pair of dual band T2TR WiFi 6 antennas. On the side it has two USB ports. One is
01:52labeled a USB 3.0,
01:54but it's not blue so I can confirm for sure that it's a USB 3.0. I will have to
02:00test its transfer speed.
02:02You get a micro SD card reader, and your reset button. At the front you have an LED display.
02:11And to its base has four rubber feet, a metal base plate, and ventilation holes.
02:17So once everything is connected and you start up the box for the very first time, or every time you
02:25reset to factory default, you will be greeted by a hyperbox startup animation, followed by a first startup
02:33wizard. Once completed you'll be taken to the launcher. So this launcher does not have a name,
02:42it's just listed as launcher. It looks much like the grape launcher with a simple layout with a few
02:48improvements. Firstly, the top row has a new horizontal scrolling animation effect. You have your standard
02:57shortcuts bar here on the second row. You click on favorites to add shortcuts.
03:17On the last row you have your settings, device info, its file browser.
03:25You can easily uninstall any app. One click memory cleanup.
03:31You have your standard a new app. One click on top and close view.
03:39Easy factory reset, and a support section.
03:48So before I proceed, please know that there are two versions of this video, a YouTube
03:54friendly version and another version that you can view on my other social media and video sharing
04:00platforms. This box due to its price falls within my special category of boxes because unlike other
04:07standard Android boxes with this model you can stream live TV and video on demand movies and TV
04:14series. You can, if you know what you are doing, view live TV and video on demand on other standard
04:20Android boxes, but the experience is not the same as with these models. These models don't buffer
04:27and they also offer some cost cutting opportunities when it comes to your monthly budget.
04:33So, running off of brand new servers in HD quality is the live TV app. This app provides
04:43thousands of live TV channels from the US. You get network TV channels, regional local channels,
04:51premium movie channels, 24-7 channels, sport networks, all major sporting league networks,
04:58pay-per-view sporting events, international sporting channels, music channels, kids channels,
05:06Latin American channels, Canadian channels, channels from the UK, a few Asian channels,
05:12European channels, Caribbean channels, and channels from the Philippines.
05:20With the VOD app you get movies and TV series on demand. It provides 28,723 movies across all genres.
05:35And 2,403 TV series across all genres.
05:44With the replay app you don't have to worry about a sporting game you missed, a news broadcast or
05:52network TV episode. The replay app provides up to one week of recorded content where you can go back
05:59and replay what you have missed. However, it's not across all channels, up to 63 of selected news,
06:07sports and network channels.
06:23It also comes with an APK app store where you can download additional streaming apps and APKs for added value.
06:36So that right there accounts for over 80% of the cost for these models.
06:42As you would see in a moment that the boxed hardware itself does not provide much flexibility
06:47when compared to other high-end hardware models.
06:51So to examine its firmware, its basic system information shows that it's running on Android 12 TVOS.
06:59Here is its current firmware build information with access to developer options.
07:07So let's have a look at its hardware and firmware features.
07:11For this I'm using my custom made system and hardware information app specially tailored for
07:17Android boxes called TV box specs. I'm currently at version 1.7.6, and if you would like to download
07:25this app for free, I placed a link in the description below.
07:29So these tabs here on the left is where you can view detailed information on each component of
07:35firmware feature. And if you head down to the summary tab, this is where you can view a summary of
07:42all
07:42of its features under one page. Here the app identifies the manufacturer and model as Google and pixel 3.
07:50But that is incorrect. The manufacturer of this chipset is all winner, and the model is the H10 Ultra.
07:57Its android operating system is android 12 tvOS, the box is rooted, and it has Google wide
08:05vinyl lavatory with no HDCP protection. Its CPU is the all winner H618, a quad core cortex A53 processor,
08:16clocked at 1.5 GHz, configured in 32-bit mode. It has 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage,
08:26and for file sharing it only has client server feature. Its display is powered by the Mali G31 GPU,
08:34with OpenGL ES 3.2, Vulkan 1.1. Its max resolution is 4K 60Hz, but my app is detecting the
08:44user interface
08:44launcher resolution which is corrupt at 1080p. It has HDMI CEC support and auto frame rate switching.
08:53It supports WiFi 6 dual band WiFi, but the app cannot detect its Ethernet LAN speed when connected.
09:00I will perform a LAN speed test in just a moment. For video playback it supports HDR10 and HLG. It
09:08does not
09:08support HDR10 plus, Dolby vision, AV1, AISR, or AIPQ picture upscaling. For audio unfortunately,
09:18whether connected to my AV receiver with audio passthrough enabled, you do not get any surround
09:23sound audio support. And finally the box has an idle operating temperature of around 52 degrees Celsius,
09:301225F. Onto its other features. For watching YouTube, the YouTube app can play videos up to 1440p resolution
09:42smoothly with no HDR. If you attempt 2160p 4K you get an error.
10:01For mobile screen mirroring it comes with the official mirror cast display for Android cell phones.
10:08Though during my testing it did not work with every phone I tested,
10:12here it connected to one of my cell phones to mirror in HD.
10:43If you would like to use your streaming apps such as Netflix
10:48Prime Video and others. You would have to sideload them as they are not available on this Google TV
10:54Play Store. You can do this using your favorite APK stores such as Aptoid or APK Pure. However,
11:00even when installed you are restricted to basic 720p resolution because this box is not Google certified.
11:10For users of home networks such as NAS servers or persons who store videos on external storage.
11:17This box only provides the playback of HDR10 and HLG. You don't get AV1 or Dolby Vision. So I will
11:26still
11:26play my list of 4K videos in various formats to see what it can or cannot handle. For this I'm
11:33using my custom
11:34made and updated TV box player app is currently at version 17. And to get your hands on this free
11:41version,
11:42you can do so using the link in the description below. So this is HDR10.
12:01It does not support the AV1 format so the video does not play.
12:11Only Dolby Vision with stereo audio falls back to HDR10 format. But Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos do not play.
12:25The HDR10 Plus video also does not play.
12:35And of course it will play HLG.
12:47For persons interested in root access, here the root checker app shows that the box is rooted.
12:56As mentioned it has no support for surround sound audio and historically this chipset is not good at
13:03Android gaming. So I will skip these two segments and go straight to its benchmarks.
13:10First the results of its RAM and internal storage and USB ports read and write speeds.
13:16It has a RAM copy speed of 2951 MBps. Its internal storage has a read speed of 152 MBps and
13:28a write speed of 144.
13:30Its USB ports both produce the same read and write speeds of 25 MBps read and 32 MBps write.
13:40This means that both USB ports are USB 2.0 ports as their color coding indicated.
13:47In testing its dual band Wi-Fi and LAN speed, based on my 500 MBps internet network, its 5G band
13:56maxed out at
13:57around 361 MBps. Its 2.4 GHz band around 51 MBps and its LAN port is a gigabit LAN port.
14:09It achieved the maximum speed of my network of 500 MBps.
14:14In benchmarking the all-winner H618 CPU, single-core and multi-core performance, the Geekbench 5 CPU benchmark
14:23produced a score of 102 single-core and 333 multi-core. In benchmarking its GPU, the 3DMark
14:32gamers benchmark wild life test produced a score of 124 with an average FPS of 0.70.
14:41And in the comprehensive Antutu benchmark version 8.4.5, because that's the only version that can
14:49work on the all-winner chipset, produced a score of 69022. So those are its benchmarks.
14:57Let's now see where it ranks on my chart. So as expected, when I uploaded its benchmarks, it ranks at
15:06position 150 based on its Antutu benchmark score with a 2 out of 5 star rating. This is mainly due
15:13to the chipset used in this model. So to view this chart to compare all of its features to other
15:20boxes
15:20in this list, I placed a link in the description below. In summary, what I can tell you is that
15:27if
15:27you are going to purchase this box, it's mainly for the streaming service it provides. Do not purchase
15:33this box if you are looking for performance benchmarks. Its hardware is functional but basic
15:38and limited in what you can do compared to a more expensive high-end model.
15:43So viewers, I've come to the end of my review. If you would like to purchase this model to tune
15:48in to
15:49all those amazing live TV channels and video only man movies, then you can do so using the link in
15:55the description where you can get it at an amazing price. The model featured in this video I'm selling
16:01at a second hand price. If you would like to take it off my hands, you can purchase it on
