Finding Nemo Nemo is Captured by Philip Sherman

Nemo follows three of his peers, bored with Mr. Ray's lesson, to the very edge of the reef where they see a boat (misnaming it a "butt") anchored in the distance. They dare each other to swim out into open water to "touch the butt" as Marlin arrives and yells at Nemo for endangering himself. Nemo tries to defend himself, even the three kids insist Nemo wasn't doing anything, but Marlin won't have it. Marlin decides Nemo isn't ready for school and to wait a year or two, but Nemo refuses stating that he isn't scared. Unconvinced Marlin declares Nemo isn't ready and worriedly tells Nemo just because he thinks he can do something doesn't mean he can. An angry Nemo says to Marlin he hates him, which shocks Marlin. While talking to Mr. Ray, Marlin fails to notice Nemo swimming fiercely out to sea, stopping beneath the boat. In an act of defiance to prove himself capaple, Nemo touches the boat with his fin and starts to swim back with Marlin angrily scolding him. Moments later, a diver pops out of nowhere right behind him as the three peers scream. Nemo calls for help, but when Marlin tries to save him, a second diver stops him from rescuing his son. As Mr. Ray takes his students under cover, the first diver captures Nemo using a pocket net. The second one takes a photo of Marlin, making his vision temporarily blurry. Regaining his sight, Marlin swims after the pair of divers as the boat departs the reef. The first diver puts Nemo in a cooler full of water and accidentally pushes his mask into the water.
