00:05Oh, Larry, your crazy antics and neurotic behavior have entertained us for years.
00:11Oh, Jesus Christ! What the hell?
00:15Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we're counting down our picks for the top 10 Curb Your Enthusiasm episodes.
00:21Are you for real?
00:22For this list, we're choosing a mix of the best, funniest, and most memorable episodes Larry David has offered us
00:29via his improvised TV series.
00:31That's some weird stuff, man.
00:33All of which have us laughing and reminiscing years after they initially aired.
00:38Let's go!
00:38Okay.
00:39Number 10. The End.
00:41I'm not giving anybody my kidney. I just woke up. I'm gonna give things out now.
00:45Larry is certainly selfish, but once he discovers his parents are Christian, he's inspired to make the ultimate sacrifice in
00:53the finale of Season 5.
00:55Now, your biological parents are Mr. and Mrs. Cone, and they currently reside in Bisbee, Arizona. They're awaiting your call.
01:04Giving up a kidney for a friend is never easy.
01:06You can have my kidney.
01:07So when Larry learns of his ultimate fate, it's thanks to his usual schtick that he manages to come back
01:13down to Earth. Literally.
01:14You're my guides?
01:16Yeah, but you, you are dead. You did die.
01:20Larry always ends up in awkward and crazy situations, and usually they're his own doing.
01:25But this episode also reminded us that despite his neurotic behavior, he's just as human as the rest of us.
01:37Jesus.
01:38Number 9. Crazy Eyes Killah.
01:40I'll stop on your world as if my name was Godzilla. I'm coming for you, motherfucker.
01:44I'm your Crazy Eyes Killah.
01:46He's as antisocial as they come, but that never stopped Larry from keeping interesting company.
01:51Crazy Eyes Killah? You're getting married. Wanda's, you know, can't do that anymore.
01:56No, no, no, I have to do that, motherfucker. You know what I'm saying?
01:59After befriending a rapper who's engaged to Wanda Sykes, who also happens to be his wife Cheryl's friend, Larry lets
02:06it slip that Crazy Eyes has been unfaithful to his soon-to-be wife.
02:09You gotta go call Wanda now?
02:12Of course I am. She's engaged to him.
02:15I don't care, so don't blame me. You can't do that.
02:17Larry always seems to get himself into trouble, usually because he can't keep quiet.
02:22And this episode from season 3 is no exception.
02:25Larry!
02:33Ultimately, though, it's Larry's first meeting with Crazy that stands out most, as he offers lyrical suggestions for his new
02:41rap song.
02:41I would change the mother f***er to bitch, because the bitch, yes, because bitch is a word that you would
02:48use to somebody who you disrespect.
02:51Number 8. Opening Night
02:53Opening night, it's opening night.
02:58A man of many talents and exploits, one of Larry's most impressive must surely be his Broadway performance.
03:06Just don't tell Mel Brooks.
03:07You know the show The Producers?
03:09Sure, yeah, yeah, big, big show.
03:11Okay, I'm in the show. I'm gonna get some tickets today, and I'll give you a ticket. How about that?
03:14Yeah, a ticket, ticket.
03:15After a season of build-up, the musical was most definitely a hit, though it took Larry and co-star
03:21David Schwimmer putting aside their differences over who lost the watch to make it so.
03:26How do you feel about reimbursing me for the watch?
03:30It seems to me your watch was missing.
03:32Don't worry, Larry. We all know the watch was already lost when you found it.
03:35Okay, I'm sorry to tell you this, but that's David Schwimmer's watch.
03:39No, no, I found it.
03:40Yeah, no, I know you found it. You found it in the hotel, right?
03:43Yes, yes.
03:44Number 7. The Bare Midriff
03:46You know about the bare midriff and the belly button?
03:49While Larry usually has qualms with behavior, Maureen's bare midriff is a reminder that Larry has trouble moving past what
03:56most would never even consider.
03:59This is all exposed in the stomach. It's not too much trouble. Maybe you can start wearing longer shirts.
04:07Whenever her midriff presents itself, Larry simply can't take his eyes off of it.
04:11What is this?
04:12You know, whatever's happening there, I'm fine with it.
04:14My stomach? What does that mean?
04:16You know, the protuberance and all of it.
04:18His perfect world always seems to be off by about an inch.
04:22But when his life is on the line and he grabs on to the only thing available to him,
04:26he doesn't seem as concerned with his life as he is horrified by what he's forced to face.
04:32Poor Larry.
04:33Maybe an inch further down. Cover up the belly button. That's all. Perfect world. Perfect world.
04:38Number 6. The Black Swan
04:40You think I wanted to kill it? I didn't want to kill a swan.
04:43Let us explain something to you. His reputation precedes him, and for good reason.
04:48You killed a swan.
04:49You f***ing pushed out.
04:51Shut up. Shut up. Shut up.
04:53Not too many people can kill a man by simply yelling at him.
04:56But Larry certainly did.
04:57And yet he finds himself completely innocent and more concerned with tomorrow's golf time than what has just happened.
05:04I have a couple of things I wanted to discuss with you.
05:06Now that's cold-blooded.
05:08After he goes on to kill a swan, Funkhauser's distaste for Larry's killing spree bubbles over.
05:13But Larry makes it clear that the dining table is not the place for such a discussion.
05:18Hey, let me remind you of something, asshole.
05:22You're talking way too loud about swan killing.
05:26Number 5. The Carpool Lane
05:27Oh, you should see the traffic. The only thing moving is the carpool lane.
05:31I'll never make it. I'm just going to go home.
05:33This episode from Season 4 shows how resourceful and cunning Larry is.
05:41Get in the car.
05:42With two tickets to the baseball game and no one to go with,
05:45he must find a way to use the carpool lane so he can get there on time.
05:50Taking to the streets, Larry decides to hire a professional...
05:55carpool lane assistant.
05:56No, I'm going to go to the gang or you're going to take me back to the corner
05:59or I'm going to call my mother f***ing pimp. How about that?
06:02Of course, now she also wants to see the game.
06:04All right, well, pull your thing up over there. Make yourself presentable.
06:07By the end of the episode, Larry finds himself finally able to relax with his new friend,
06:12which goes on to show how much of a people person he really is,
06:16so long as they have reasonable rates.
06:18You ever looking for a good blowjob at a reasonable rate?
06:21Here. She's your gal.
06:24Number 4. The table read.
06:26Ladies and gentlemen, please hold the work. Let's take our places for the table read.
06:30Season 7 promised the Seinfeld reunion that fans have dreamed of for years,
06:35and it finally appears to be happening here.
06:38Who are these two right here?
06:40It's Jerry Seinfeld and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
06:42Oh, man.
06:45So Jerry's tapping that ass, huh?
06:46This episode isn't just awesome for the behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to make Seinfeld happen,
06:52but also for the rivalry between Larry and Jason Alexander,
06:56who portrayed the Larry David-type character in the Seinfeld sitcom.
07:00Good morning.
07:00Hey.
07:02Mission accomplished.
07:03As things get heated over a pen.
07:06It's not the pen I gave you.
07:08This is not replacing the pen.
07:09This is just giving me another pen.
07:11No, you didn't say get the same pen.
07:12You said you need to replace the pen.
07:14It reminds us all how hilarious a show about nothing can really be.
07:18It's not the pen I gave you.
07:20You asked me to replace the pen.
07:21You didn't replace the pen.
07:22I replaced it.
07:23Number 3.
07:24Larry vs. Michael J. Fox.
07:27Did you see that?
07:27It was Michael J. Fox.
07:28Yes.
07:29Did you see that kind of head shake you just gave me?
07:31In the final episode of Season 8,
07:33and what may also be the series finale,
07:36since the show's been on indefinite hiatus since 2011,
07:39Larry's neurotic behavior finally becomes too much
07:43when he goes up against the Parkinson's disease-ridden Michael J. Fox.
07:47Hey, he was shaking.
07:48He wouldn't ever do anything like that on purpose.
07:50Michael J. Fox?
07:51Never in a million years.
07:52Larry's belief that Fox is lying about the extent of his condition
07:56is tested with his trope of staring someone down to see if they're lying.
08:06Okay.
08:06The combat boots definitely seem excessive,
08:10but it's a testament to Larry and his show
08:12that no subject is out of line,
08:15even when it comes to finding the perfect gift for a young gay boy.
08:18He will be gay.
08:20He's just, he's pre-gay.
08:22New York may find him excessive,
08:23but the world begs to differ.
08:25Wherever Larry goes, his opinion will be heard.
08:28I'm not thinking straight.
08:30I'm so dumb.
08:30He's keeping me up, Michael J. Fox, every night.
08:33Clomping around upstairs.
08:34Still clomping?
08:35Yes.
08:35Number two, the special section.
08:37Yeah, she got moved.
08:38Special section.
08:41What special section?
08:42What would be a heart-wrenching moment for most
08:45turns into comedy gold for Larry,
08:47with his father taking his mother's last words quite literally.
08:50You didn't call me to tell me my mother died?
08:52Best words she said to me,
08:53if anything happens to me,
08:54you don't bother Larry.
08:56You don't spoil his trip in New York.
08:58It's insane!
08:58Larry soon finds himself at the cemetery's office,
09:01trying to make sense of why they buried his mother in the special section.
09:05Well, what are we going to do about this special section thing?
09:07She can't, we can't keep her there.
09:09This is ridiculous.
09:11When Larry then steals flowers from a roadside memorial,
09:14and has to deal with his friend Funkhauser,
09:16it just goes to show that even death can't faze Larry David.
09:20All right.
09:22Before we unveil our top pick,
09:24here are some honorable mentions.
09:26Because this 300-pound n***er is...
09:28What'd you say?
09:28Well, here's the thing.
09:31I asked her to go to the movies tonight, okay?
09:35And the therapist gave her the green light.
09:37I'm not in the mood.
09:38You're making me look like an asshole.
09:39I had the option of ordering dessert.
09:41Who doesn't know that when you cut a doll's hair,
09:44it doesn't go back?
09:45No big deal.
09:46It's a side-pound reunion.
09:48I know.
09:49That's a big deal.
09:50Get off my skis.
09:54Number one, Palestinian chicken.
09:56Um, you want to try out that Palestinian chicken place?
10:00It may be a show about nothing,
10:02but this episode has everything.
10:04How in the world can they dare open up
10:07a Palestinian chicken restaurant
10:09next to the sacred land of that deli?
10:12The best Larry and Funkhauser confrontation,
10:14incredible anti-Semitic sex,
10:16and the greatest chicken you'll ever have.
10:19You're taking the chicken?
10:19Yes, of course.
10:20Why would I leave it?
10:21Funkhauser may not like how far Larry is willing to go
10:24to please himself,
10:25but the reality is,
10:26it's one of the reasons we can't get enough of him.
10:29I can't go in with wearing this yarmulke.
10:31She's shoving it in their faces.
10:32Let's go in.
10:33It's that classic selfishness
10:34that makes Larry so funny in this episode,
10:36and it's why Palestinian chicken gets the number one spot.
10:40This would be a fantastic place
10:44for Jews who are cheating on their spouses to come to.
10:47That and the fact that the chicken really is that good.
10:49I've never had chicken like this.
10:51Do you agree with our list?
10:53Without a doubt.
