00:10 sense that it happened. Ryan

00:13 weird for you right after the
00:14 trade deadline. Basically Kenny
00:16 Williams and Rick Hahn who I
00:18 have a ton of respect for by
00:19 the way make all these trades
00:20 for the future of the
00:21 organization. And then a few
00:23 weeks later are let go what did
00:24 you make when you heard this.
00:26 Yeah it was the timing was
00:28 little surprising right I think
00:29 if you're going to make
00:30 decisions like this you make it
00:31 before decisions that affect
00:33 the- that your franchise for
00:34 the next five ten years. Are
00:36 made and you put different
00:36 people in there- I guess at the
00:38 same time it kind of shows the-
00:41 the respect that Reinsdorf had
00:42 the Jerry Reinsdorf had for
00:44 Kenny Williams and Rick Hahn-
00:46 because even though he knew
00:47 that he may have it. An issue
00:49 coming up that he may have to
00:51 make a change. He still trusted
00:52 them to make decisions more
00:54 than he would have. Necessarily
00:56 bringing someone in I think
00:57 they still have high hopes for
00:59 this year I know. I know twenty
01:00 twenty two was a pretty big
01:01 disappointment for the White
01:02 Sox but- you know they still
01:04 had a good core players you
01:05 know they- they had a group
01:07 that they thought could turn it
01:08 around and- you know it's hard
01:10 to give up on that after a
01:11 month into the season when. You
01:13 know kind of looking back maybe
01:14 that would have been the time.
01:16 To make a move like this but
01:18 they still had hope they
01:19 thought things are going to
01:19 turn around they thought they'd
01:20 be back to the team that they
01:21 were. In twenty twenty and
01:23 twenty twenty one when they
01:24 made the playoffs. You know
01:26 twenty one when they won they
01:27 won the division title they
01:28 thought that team could
01:29 reappear after one year hiccup
01:31 last year and that didn't
01:32 happen so. You know with the
01:34 you look at the track record
01:35 and- and some of the reports
01:36 that have come out about kind
01:37 of dysfunction among team and
01:39 pitchers you know not doing
01:40 pitching fielding practice and
01:41 not having that. Maybe the
01:43 attention to detail that that
01:44 wasn't a good look right. And
01:46 I think at this point you know
01:47 they won. The two thousand five
01:49 World Series that was a long
01:50 time ago they won made. The
01:52 postseason a couple of times
01:53 since then. They're trending in
01:54 the wrong direction everything
01:56 seems to be going awry. You
01:58 know and I. So in that way I
02:00 guess it makes sense that they
02:01 make a move this year but
02:03 you're right the timing is a
02:04 little bit. A little bit
02:06 surprising.
