00:08 I'm standing in the fire grounds at Biowire at the moment.
00:12 This is an area where 300 hectares of forestry and national park has been burned through
00:18 by a fire which started on Sunday afternoon.
00:21 To get this fire to the contained area that it is at the moment, it took 67 crews working
00:26 on Monday and yesterday aircrafts dropped more than 250,000 litres of water to prevent
00:33 it moving too close to homes and businesses in Biowire.
00:36 We caught up with Rural Fire's Mark Jakeman a little while ago who told us about what
00:41 the conditions are looking like today and tomorrow.
00:43 Unfortunately that cool change is that stronger wind turning up, so even though it is a cooler
00:48 day, the wind speed is up which could cause embers or something to float over a containment
00:55 line.
00:56 It was quite a large fire for not bad conditions, so crews are already working flat out to keep
01:05 fires under control.
01:06 There is a cool change coming a little bit later today and into tomorrow.
01:10 As I say, it's more than 31 degrees here on the Sunshine Coast and across South East Queensland,
01:15 but tomorrow those temperatures will fall to the early 20s, so everyone will feel that
01:20 cool change.
01:21 Unfortunately that change will also come with higher and heavier winds, still very dry winds,
01:26 which is something that firefighters remain concerned about.
