00:13 It's a very pretty game with gloriously gory zombie violence and fun traps.
00:18 However, there is no getting around the fact that it's all about hitting zombies,
00:22 which wouldn't be much of a problem if the combat had some more snap or some variation.
00:28 For the most part though, it's a robustly solid and polished game that,
00:32 while it might never drop anything groundbreaking,
00:34 maintains a consistently enjoyable flow of nice touches and ideas.
00:39 Whether that's a new and interesting location, the flow between open areas to explore,
00:43 or more constrained scripted moments, there's a lot to enjoy here throughout the Escape LA story
00:49 that mixes it all with decent characters, some twists, and a conga line of endlessly
00:54 mushable zombies. We give it 3.5 stars out of 5.
