Weather could complicate travel next week leading up to Thanksgiving, including at some of the major travel hubs in the eastern United States.

00:00 Well, a lot of storminess off the California coast here today.
00:04 Take a look at this big upper level low.
00:06 This is the one that we've been talking about here in AccuWeather for at least the last
00:11 10 days.
00:12 Here it is.
00:13 A lot of cold air with this.
00:14 A lot of tropical moisture coming in from the south and southwest.
00:18 Take a look at this.
00:19 A surge of some moisture.
00:21 All right.
00:22 This upper low is going to stay offshore over the next couple of days here.
00:25 But the upper low itself doesn't really make its way into California until we get into
00:30 Friday and Saturday.
00:32 Then we're going to track that energy as we get into Sunday and early next week across
00:37 the central plains and then eventually into the Midwest here as we get close to early
00:42 next week and of course next week being Thanksgiving Day.
00:45 So we feel pretty strongly that there's going to be a storm coming from the southern plains
00:49 and into the Midwest maybe as early as Sunday night but certainly lasting Monday into Tuesday
00:55 that's going to produce some widespread rains probably in the western areas here on Monday
01:00 then Tuesday into Wednesday once you get across the mid-Atlantic and northeast.
01:05 We should dry things out for Thanksgiving Day for most areas but certainly Monday, Tuesday
01:11 and into Wednesday there's going to be some travel delays.
01:14 Again I think it's mostly Monday Midwest, Tuesday into Wednesday from the mid-Atlantic
01:20 to the northeast probably New England by the time we get into Wednesday then we dry things
01:24 out for Thanksgiving and there is some indication that it could be turning colder as we get
01:29 into next weekend as we go through your shopping day on Friday and then the weekend following
01:35 Thanksgiving.
