00:04 The Steelers have made a coaching change.
00:06 Pittsburgh has hired offensive coordinator Matt Canada,
00:10 which has been the claim and the call in the Steel City for multiple years now, DRS.
00:16 Matt Canada hired in 2021 as the offensive coordinator for
00:19 this Pittsburgh organization.
00:21 And Donnie, you said this yesterday when we recapped the game in Cleveland,
00:25 where the Steelers scored ten points against the Browns.
00:29 And Kenny Pickett threw for 106 yards and the Steelers offense had no rhythm.
00:34 That wasn't an anomaly yesterday.
00:36 The Steelers have been out gained in all ten of their games this year and
00:40 somehow some way have a six and four record.
00:43 The offense has been abysmal all year long, really getting back to 2022 as well.
00:49 Donnie, the Steelers don't often make midseason coaching changes,
00:52 even in their coordinator staff.
00:54 They fire Matt Canada.
00:56 That's the news out of Pittsburgh early this morning.
00:58 >> I think everybody's walking out of the Steel Mills there and
01:01 heading down to the local bar, crack open a couple of Iron City beers here.
01:04 Because this Thanksgiving,
01:06 this is the best present you could ever give the Steelers fans.
01:09 Now my only question is this,
01:10 is Kenny Pickett going to be fired along with Matt Canada?
01:13 Because I understand you need a good offensive mind.
01:15 You need some ingenuity in offense.
01:17 You gotta have some wrinkles that other teams haven't seen before.
01:20 But also is this just something wrong with the Steelers staff as a whole?
01:25 Because who knows if it's Mike Tomlinson.
01:26 Hey, look, let's not get crazy on offense.
01:28 We're winning football games this way.
01:30 Let's keep everything on the down low.
01:31 Let's just see if they get an offensive coordinator.
01:33 I guess it's gonna be an in-house guy that's already been on staff and
01:36 giving his input.
01:37 So I love the move because you had to fire Matt Canada.
01:40 But I don't think this is gonna result in, hey, by the way,
01:43 Kenny Pickett 21 of 24, 355 yards and three touchdowns like Brock Purdy did.
01:47 But it's a step in the right direction.
01:49 They needed this done five weeks ago, not this past weekend.
01:53 And it's crazy that finally Mike Tomlinson's like, you know what?
01:56 I don't think our offense is actually working.
01:58 You think, Mike?
01:59 Good step in the right direction.
02:00 I just don't know if it's gonna pay dividends this late in the season.
