00:00 In the United Kingdom, people demonstrated in London in support of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
00:05 On the 99th day since the beginning of the Israeli aggression against Gaza,
00:10 demonstrators gathered in the centre of London in rejection to the violent attacks perpetrated by Israel.
00:17 The protest was led by social movements and citizens who called for a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza,
00:23 while rejecting the US and UK attacks on Yemen.
00:26 The demonstration took place under heavy security measures with the involvement of some 1,700 police
00:33 to maintain order and direct the London march.
00:37 The government needs to recognise that what is happening in Gaza is a genocide
00:45 and to call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire.
00:47 We're here to show our leaders and our politicians that we are in a democracy and they don't speak for us
00:52 when they decide not to back a ceasefire, when they decide to continue to export arms to Israel,
00:58 when they decide to drop airstrikes on Yemen.
01:02 Those are not decisions that speak for us and I'm here to voice that frustration.
01:07 And I think in years to come it's going to be one that a lot of people are kicking themselves
01:12 and saying we should have been on the right side of history back then.
01:15 So I quite frankly want to be on the right side of history.
