00:05 In one sense, I can completely appreciate your frustration.
00:09 And that's because it's been a tough couple of years.
00:12 When we go through the things that we've
00:14 been through as a country, as I said,
00:16 energy bills more than doubling, again, starting to come down,
00:20 the economic strain that's put on all your family budgets,
00:23 the impact of COVID on backlogs, NHS waiting for appointments.
00:26 All of those things are real things
00:28 that will cause you and everyone else
00:29 an enormous amount of frustration.
00:31 And I can completely understand that.
00:33 But I think fundamentally, what you want and what I want
00:36 are the same.
00:37 What I talked about at the beginning,
00:39 the things that I'm focused on, the values that
00:42 are important to me, I think are things that we probably share.
00:45 And all of you who clapped, I'd probably say the same thing.
00:49 I think actually we want the same things for our country.
00:52 We share the same values, whether that's
00:53 on controlling spending, cutting your taxes
00:56 to ease the cost of living, making sure
00:58 that we have strong borders and we tackle illegal migration.
01:02 These are things that we have in common.
01:04 These are all things that we want.
01:06 And what I'd say to you and everyone else
01:08 is the next election is a straightforward choice.
01:11 At the end of it, either Keir Starmer or I
01:14 are going to be prime minister.
01:16 And a vote for anyone who is not a Conservative candidate
01:19 is simply a vote to put Keir Starmer into number 10.
