00:00How good was that conversation over the ball on 18 where he
00:07had a stance in the trap with the ball above his feet and
00:10just talking through what the number was to the lip of the
00:13trap and where they wanted to miss, where they did not wanna
00:15miss, you know, after watching just a few groups earlier and
00:18this is not a dig at uh Victor Hovland or Shane Knight because
00:21I think he had a mud ball and it was, you know, it was kind
00:23of a funky shot. He was trying to hit there but watching guys
00:25trying to hit a really difficult shot. We watched
00:27Bryson try to try to hit, you know, a ball below his feet
00:30out of the trap, you know, a lot of difficult approach
00:33shots there where they needed to have a birdie at least and
00:36just watching, you know, Austin and Xander go through that
00:39process and hit it exactly where they needed to to give
00:41him a reasonable up and down and then, of course, watching
00:44Johnson Wagner hilariously recreate the golf channel later
00:47in the evening which is just Johnson Wagner is just a true
00:51gift to the game of golf. Yeah, he's he's been the MVP uh at
00:55night every night but I kinda wanna just start at uh a little
00:59bit about Xander's day and just kinda recap that a little bit
01:01just for my for my lens of what what I saw from Xander today,
01:05birding the first hole which was playing is one of the
01:07hardest uh of of any of the holes today from a raking
01:11perspective. So, getting off to a hot start was was really
01:14good to see for what potentially we felt like Xander
01:17could get off to the same type of day that Colin did which
01:20just a lot of pars, not enough birdies. So, to get off to a
01:24quick start was great but then the the par putty made on six
01:28was huge. Just a huge, huge, huge momentum putt and I think
01:33as we kinda get to this backside, I thought Trevor
01:36Immelman uh made a great point before Xander pulled a wood out
01:41in the bunker on ten and ends up hitting into no man's land. It
01:45was a great call um by Trevor and the team there because you
01:49know that that's the type of mistake you cannot make on a
01:52Sunday's bogeying a par five but what do you do right after
01:55that? He he plays a very difficult par three. Makes
01:58birdie there. The twelfth was I feel like probably the hardest
02:02hole on that back nine uh throughout the week and he goes
02:05and birdies that one. So, huge bounce back ability at eleven
02:09and twelve. Made that big putt at six but the rest of the way
02:12through to me, it seemed like he was playing really cautious
02:15because he was getting mud balls. I I don't know if if if
02:18you felt the same way but it just didn't seem like he could
02:21go at the flags like everybody else cuz he was a little
02:24concerned about the mud on thirteen. Fourteen hits a great
02:27shot on a par three. Just misses the putt. Um and then uh
02:31I know he had some mud on sixteen and then just really a
02:33bad break off the tee on seventeen and eighteen where
02:37you know uh just really just took a lot of courage
02:41determination on seventeen and eighteen to get those balls up
02:44and down and and he willed him in.
