00:00It was just over a month ago here in Sandwich that this street, The Butchery, was cordoned
00:06off by Kent Police after two bodies were found on the 8th of July.
00:12Now new details have emerged after an inquest into those deaths began in Maidstone this
00:18morning.
00:19Brian and Dilys Richards were both in their 90s when they were found dead in their home
00:25after a carer found Mrs Richards' body on her bed.
00:29Now Mrs Richards' death is consistent with potassium cyanide poisoning, while police
00:36found her husband, Brian Richards, with a gun underneath him and a gunshot wound to
00:42the head, which they say was self-inflicted.
00:46Now we don't know too many details at this stage.
00:50We know that Brian and Dilys Richards have lived on this street since the early 80s and
00:56had been married even longer, tying the knot in 1952.
01:01But we don't know too many details about what happened here a month ago and we won't know
01:07that many details until October 28th when the inquest is set to restart in full.
01:15Until then, what happened here remains a mystery.
