00:00We are open, we are open.
00:02We did some great things with trade with India and Pakistan,
00:05really helped the situation, very heated situation.
00:08Donald Trump says he alone can bring peace,
00:11whether it's Russia and Ukraine, Israel and Hamas,
00:14or even India and Pakistan.
00:16But here's the catch.
00:17Time and again, Trump has promised quick fix ceasefires.
00:20And time and again, the ground reality has exposed the gap
00:23between his rhetoric and results.
00:25Trump hinted that he's nudged India and Pakistan
00:28toward a historic agreement,
00:29even suggesting that he could broker a lasting ceasefire
00:32between the two nuclear rivals.
00:34But no official confirmation has come from Delhi or Islamabad.
00:37Indian officials have dismissed the idea of third-party mediation before.
00:41Pakistan remains non-committal.
00:43And yet, Trump is already taking credit for easing tensions,
00:46just like he has done before.
00:48Here's the thing, don't take my word for it, see it for yourself.
00:55Back in 2023, Trump told Fox News that he'd end the Russia-Ukraine war
00:58in just 24 hours if elected.
01:01There's a very easy negotiation to take place.
01:03I'll have it solved within one day, he claimed.
01:05After taking office in 2025, he made calls,
01:08floated a 30-day ceasefire and flirted with attending peace talks in Turkey.
01:12On 12th May 2025, Russia launched more than 100 Shahid and Decoy drones at Ukraine
01:17in nighttime attacks, the Ukrainian Air Forces said.
01:20This was after the Kremlin rejected an unconditional 30-day ceasefire in more than three-year war.
01:25And just in March 2025, things took a U-turn when Trump, out of the blue,
01:30said that he was being a little bit sarcastic when he repeatedly claimed as a candidate
01:34that he would have the Russia-Ukraine war solved within 24 hours.
01:37Let's look at Israel-Hamas.
01:39Trump said the 2023 Hamas attacks on Israel would never have happened if he were president.
01:44He promised to bring lasting peace to the Middle East.
01:47His administration did help broker a brief ceasefire in January 2025,
01:51leading to the release of hostages and prisoners.
01:54This week we achieved an epic ceasefire agreement as a first step toward lasting peace in the Middle East.
02:01But the so-called epic ceasefire, it collapsed just two months later.
02:06By March, Israel resumed heavy airstrikes, killing more than 400 people in one night.
02:10So much for lasting peace.
02:12The Houthis have announced that they are not, or they've announced to us at least,
02:16that they don't want to fight anymore.
02:18In his first term, Trump claimed he would end the U.S. involvement in endless wars like Yemen.
02:23But under his watch, weapon sales to Saudi Arabia increased,
02:26and the U.S. continued to support airstrikes that hit schools, hospitals and civilians.
02:31A promised veto against war powers legislation, he did it, to block Congress from ending U.S. role in Yemen.
02:37We did some great things with trade with India and Pakistan.
02:40Again, promises of peace, policies of escalation.
02:44In each case, Trump builds his stage with a bold promise.
02:47Maximum media attention, minimal follow-through.
02:50India-Pakistan is just the latest backdrop.
02:53He wants to be seen as the world's deal-maker.
02:55But the deals never follow through.
