00:00This is with regards to the CJP leaders who finally were released from judicial custody.
00:05The week-long judicial custody of CJP leaders, Saurabh Das, Ashutosh, Ranka,
00:09ended with a political battle.
00:11Remember, it's just far from over right now.
00:14Das and Ranka walked out of Tihar Jail after the Special Executive Magistrate
00:17accepted their personal bonds in a shorter rates of Rs. 50,000 each.
00:21The release is not an acquittal.
00:23The proceedings continue with the next hearing scheduled for October 23rd at 3 p.m.
00:27The release comes with five conditions.
00:30Including written assurances to maintain peace.
00:32No protest calls at Jantar Mantar while the site remains denotified.
00:36And a commitment to keep future protests within the constitutional framework.
00:41Both have also furnished an unconditional apology over their conduct.
00:45In their undertakings, the two leaders promised not to breach the peace
00:48and expressed faith in the judiciary and the SEM court.
00:51They also assured that any future protest would adhere to the constitution.
00:55CJP chief Abhijit Dibke welcomed their release,
00:58calling Saurav and Ashutosh bigger leaders than himself.
01:02He declared solidarity with the two while reiterating the message,
01:05Gyanu must go, referring to Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
01:09But the BJP has, at the same time, pushed back and sharply.
01:14Samit Patra says the leaders were not jailed for hoisting the Thiranga,
01:18but for allegedly violating the terms of a peace bond.
01:21He's argued that the national flag cannot provide legal immunity
01:24for an unlawful conduct at the end of the day.
01:49Of course, there were delays, but today, finally, these boys are out.
01:53And I think as CJP, all the CJP members who are present over here,
01:57we absolutely feel that, you know, this was necessary.
02:00And now that they are out, we are all happy about it.
02:02We welcome the decision.
02:03High court made certain oral observation, but that's their observation.
02:07Nothing was said on record.
02:08Nothing was on merit.
02:10Saurav is 27, he is absolutely Gen Z.
02:14Ashutosh is borderline Gen Z.
02:16And we relate to the cause of the youth.
02:18We are ultimately youth of this country.
02:20So, of course, we are the youth.
02:22And if we are Gen Z or not, that is something, you know,
02:25which is, I think, not that important.
02:27Judicial custody, which was the judicial custody,
02:38which was the case of the bond,
02:39which was the case of the bond.
02:46Peace bond.
02:47And today, that's the case of the victim card.
02:51They were the victim card.
02:54aaj Dilli high court ke prashno se taar taar ho gaya hai.
02:59On that note, we will take you through more details into this very story.
03:04Bail for Ranka and Saurav.
03:06Of course, as we told you, this isn't an acquittal.
03:09The proceedings will continue.
03:11But right now, they're out on a peace bond.
03:13The second one, for that matter.
03:15Undertaking one that's been promised in this peace bond by them.
03:19They promise not to commit any breach of peace.
03:22Undertaking two.
03:23There's full faith in the judiciary and the SEM court.
03:27That is a special executive magistrate court.
03:29And this is particularly important after the entirety of the hearing
03:33that preceded the SEM court hearing in the high court.
03:38Undertaking three.
03:40Reiterate our commitment to peace, law and order.
03:43That's what's been said by both Ranka and us.
03:45Undertaking four.
03:47And one of the most crucial points marked in that very peace bond
03:51is that no Jantar Mantar protest call till it is denotified
03:55because that is the main charge under which they were put in judicial custody.
04:01Undertaking number five.
04:03Any protest will be in adherence to the constitution
04:06and the framework that it provides.
04:09So these are the five main key takeaways and key points
04:12that we see in that peace bond that's been signed by the two co-conveners.
