Three teen moms are determined to prove that being young doesn’t make them bad parents. Despite facing harsh judgment and stereotypes, each is working hard to raise their children, share their real experiences, and challenge society’s expectations. Through honesty, resilience, and love, they’re showing that good motherhood isn’t defined by age.

00:00I got pregnant at 13. I was like 15 turning 16. I felt scared. I was really
00:08scared. She's my little girl and we're super close. People would say you're
00:13ruining your life. Somebody even messaged me saying I hope you guys in labor.
00:17I found out I was pregnant at 15 years old. I feel the people staring and I feel
00:23judgment. I was devastated. At what point did I let my guard down and fail my
00:28daughter. They see a girl who obviously doesn't even look 18 you know walking
00:33around with a newborn or you know a baby bump. People still make me feel like I'm
00:37less of a mom. People judge us because we had a baby at 14. I was scared my sister was
00:42gonna find the prairie scissors in my backpack. I told my sister she looked at
00:47me in my eyes and she said are you kidding me. We cannot imagine our life
00:50without Mina because Mina just Mina. I got pregnant at 13. I was like 15 turning 16.
01:02People would say you're ruining your life. Somebody even messaged me saying I hope
01:07you guys labor. I took that and I shifted it. I said this is making my life. I felt
01:16scared. I was really scared. What I wanted before anything let's just get a paternity
01:22test before any actions were stepped forward. I thought to myself he's gonna
01:27take her away from me.
01:29I need a dirty nose.
01:31Okay let me help you. We're gonna have to take it off in a minute you know that right?
01:35There you go. This is Everly. She is three years old. She's my little girl and we're
01:42super close. Let me spray some of this. Make your hair a little bit softer. She is
01:47so mature and so sassy. I had always looked down on teen moms if I'm being
01:53completely honest and I think that was just from a lack of knowing what it's
01:57really like. When I actually got pregnant I was so scared for the reactions
02:00people were gonna get and I did get a lot of negative reactions a lot of hate.
02:04Can you try to wipe it off? Everybody had something to say and they didn't hold
02:08back. I had people send me the address to abortion clinics when I was about
02:12seven months pregnant. In gym class they would like put balls in their t-shirts
02:15and be like hi I'm Maddie I'm a teen mom. Somebody even messaged me saying I hope
02:19you guys in labor. I took that and I shifted it. I said this is making my life.
02:27The hate made me want to do better. It made me want to show them that I'm gonna be
02:33the best mom ever even though I'm young. I'm gonna be the best mom they've ever
02:36seen. Alright let's put this up. Do you want to go pick out an outfit?
02:39Hey for Everlies it's Maddie and Everly.
02:42When Everly was about four months old I decided on a whim okay we look cute
02:49today you know what I'm gonna go film a YouTube video. Today I'm going to be
02:53talking about how I found out I was pregnant. My first video I ever posted
02:58ended up going viral. I just didn't know what was gonna happen you know cuz I was
03:04pregnant at 14. Today I am going to be filming a video for my YouTube channel
03:10with Everly's dad Isaac my ex-boyfriend. I'm quite nervous and I'm looking forward
03:15to seeing how it goes. We're gonna discuss co-parenting and how we've kind of made
03:20it work through the good, the bad, and the ugly. Everly? Come here! Give me a big hug!
03:32How are you? It's beautiful. Oh is that your toy car? When Maddie first found out that she was pregnant
03:39I was like 15 turning 16. I missed you. I thought it was all just a joke like it
03:48wasn't real. Let's go upstairs. And then when she showed me the scan. I went to get a
03:54sonogram and I sent him this picture. I felt scared. I was really scared. So before we do this
04:05little co-parenting video I know we've talked about before like probably a
04:08couple years ago on my channel how one of your regrets was not meeting Everly
04:12earlier and I never really got like that explanation to what was going on like
04:19during my pregnancy and after she was born like did you move to Canada? What
04:25happened? Were you still in Texas? No I was still in Texas but like when you told me I was just shot.
04:33I was yeah like wow so I talked to my mom obviously about it I told her that what
04:40I wanted before anything before like I got into Everly's life let's just get a
04:45paternity test before anything any actions were stepped forward. Basically like I
04:51wasn't there for the ten months right so Maddie had the most hate for me which was
04:55correct and I messed up right there and I did. This whole time all I have said is I
05:01know who Everly's dad is he's the only person I've ever been with which remains
05:05true but he wanted to get proof they said okay so for the fraternity results
05:09handing them forward he is the father I've been telling y'all this literally for
05:15freaking almost a year. I just couldn't accept the fact that it happened but it
05:21happened. Oh I was so mad at you like I literally oh my gosh. It did get pretty bad
05:28and I was really upset I would I post things on my social media and be like
05:33he's a piece of crap and like say all these things. I thought to myself he's
05:37gonna take her away from me. I was hurting me and him had left off on bad terms and I
05:44kind of turned that pain into anger which I really do regret. I feel like I
05:47should have pushed harder and been nicer. I should have realized that like
05:52parenting is a two-way road but at that time for me I was just kind of like I was
05:57still resenting everything that had happened. I was really selfish with
06:01Everly. Today is a special vlog because Everly will be meeting her dad for the
06:06first time in her life. Everly you're gonna meet your dad how do you feel about
06:11that? What do you think about that? I feel like it would just be a lot better if I
06:19would have like came out like hey like this is my daughter this beautiful angel
06:26like yeah like it would have been different but I was gone for that 10
06:30months and I can't do anything about it now. I just said be there for her. You
06:34kind of get that um mentality where it's the villain and the hero and you make
06:40yourself the hero and you make the other person the villain but it's not like
06:42that you're you're just both basically side characters Everly's the hero. I'm
06:47really glad we got to talk about this and I think it's really good to kind of
06:50get these things out in the open before we film our video telling other people
06:54how to co-parent when we're not professionals ourselves.
06:57Oh right.
06:59Are we saying that now? Yeah. Well hello.
07:03Okay so we're gonna start with something like a bit more simple and even though
07:08it's super simple we've definitely fought over it um just like the times for
07:12visitation because when you're co-parenting. We both want her. Yeah. As much as
07:17possible. I think it went really well we've never actually discussed this just
07:22on our own terms. I think it's really good that we were able to talk about those
07:25things civilly and it just really shows how far things have come from where
07:30they were before. Come on. Alright girl. Do you have shoes on? Yeah. So many people assume
07:40I'm a bad mom just because I'm a teenager but I have the same capacity to parent as
07:43anybody on this world. A good mom is somebody who drops everything for their child. I dropped my
07:49whole childhood. Nice. Be careful by the edge. I do everything for that little girl. She is my
07:57entire world and I feel like she can have such an impact. Do you know any of those letters?
08:02Yeah. Which ones? I think this one is A. That's the one I just pointed to and she said she doesn't know.
08:09Good job baby. You're so smart. She wants to be the first astronaut on Jupiter. She's gonna do it.
08:14This is Kat. She fell in love with Grant. The couple were only 15 and 17 years old when they
08:26found out Kat was pregnant. I was shocked obviously. And being teen parents doesn't come
08:33without judgment. I feel the people staring and I feel the judgment. People stop and be
08:39like wait a minute. They do not look of age. Today Kat's mom is coming over to tell her
08:45daughter how she really felt about her pregnancy. I think my mom was even more disappointed in me
08:51because she had the experience of being a young mother. I was devastated. At what point did I let
08:56my guard down and fail my daughter? So do you remember when I first told you I was pregnant?
09:01When I first found out I was pregnant I was very shocked. I mean of course. But at the same time you know we
09:08knew what we were doing. Are you making a snake? And you know the outcome of what being irresponsible does.
09:21Can you say please? I found out I was pregnant at 15 years old. I was 17 years old. We got together,
09:29started dating May of 2016 and then we found out she was pregnant in January 2017. Having a child
09:37is very straining. You can read the books and read the blogs but you never know until you really do it.
09:43No, don't throw. Don't throw. I think one of the biggest complications with raising Toby has been
09:54really just balancing out what we still need to do just as humans. We needed to finish high school.
10:00We're trying to finish college and we are you know full-time employees. But I wouldn't change anything about it.
10:08I'd take a day with my son over anything. I feel the people staring and I feel judgment. They see a girl
10:17who obviously doesn't even look 18. You know walking around with a newborn or you know a baby bump.
10:24I sacrificed my body for nine months and I went through childbirth. Yet people still make me feel like I'm less of a mom.
10:32I do remember one moment. I was maybe like seven or eight months along. I was just walking through the store with my mom.
10:39One of my mom's friends had come up to us and she looked at me and she was like you know everybody knows what you did now.
10:45And everything that you're doing you know behind closed doors. And I just really wanted to hide it. I wasn't proud of it.
10:53I just felt like I should just stay inside all the time and just don't let anybody see what was going on with me.
11:02If an older woman who was already married nobody would have said something like that to her.
11:07People would be like oh congratulations you know be happy that you're having a child.
11:14When I found out that my 15 year old daughter was pregnant I was devastated.
11:20And not that her life was ruined but devastated of the challenges that she would forever face.
11:26When it could have happened where did it happen? At what point did I let my guard down and fail my daughter?
11:31So do you remember when I first told you I was pregnant?
11:35I was out of town. I think the immediate reaction was like holy this really this really is.
11:41My youngest was eight at the time so I was just getting all my kids in school full time.
11:47And then to see my 15 year old have it. Shock.
11:51My first child I had at 18.
11:53Imagine still learning your body and going through hormonal changes and then add a pregnancy on top of that.
12:00And then a birth. And then a new found relationship while you're raising a baby.
12:06I really appreciated you know just telling me like that it's going to be okay.
12:12Even though we didn't know you know we never know it's going to be okay.
12:15But you know that assurance for me was probably like the number one thing that made me confident.
12:22When we were at the store with your friend and she had looked at me and said well now everybody knows what you did.
12:28Even though it hurt me it brought us closer.
12:30Because like you said it made you more protective and it made you just embrace it.
12:36My parents were disappointed.
12:40When I first found out it was like oh crap it was shocking.
12:44You're upset then you get mad and then you cry because you're upset.
12:50But they told me that Kat and I would have their full support no matter what.
12:55And then you just figure well this is something we got to get over you know because it's not going to go away.
13:02And we embraced it. It was you know I wouldn't change anything.
13:06I love having my grandson.
13:08I think getting pregnant very young was a very irresponsible decision to make.
13:16I do know for sure that so many other teen moms and teen parents that I talked to agree that you know they love their child so much.
13:25But you know if they could have just waited even just one or two more years.
13:29I feel the same way.
13:31I just feel so fortunate for what we have because we're so supported.
13:37And so many other teen parents don't get that support.
13:40We deserve that recognition that we're doing the parenting thing and despite everything.
13:50People judge us because we had a baby at 14.
13:53Say hi.
13:55What's your name?
13:56Nina.
13:57I'm?
13:58Nina.
13:59Nina.
14:00Cat.
14:01What is this?
14:02Cat.
14:03You know what that is?
14:04Me.
14:05I never thought I had a kid at 14.
14:06I feel very isolated like I had nobody.
14:12When I told my sister she looked at me in my eyes and she said are you kidding me?
14:17My body like dropped.
14:19My name is Nicole and this is my partner Anthony and we got disowned at 14 by getting pregnant.
14:27When we first met we were 13 years old.
14:30And we started texting on Instagram and I would ghost him a lot because I wouldn't want to text him.
14:37We hung out for the first time and we clicked.
14:40To me when I first seen her I liked her.
14:44She was cute and funny and stuff.
14:46Should I take some of the water out?
14:48Nope.
14:49The way people reacted when they first found that I was pregnant they were very judgmental and they just stopped talking to us.
14:56I feel very isolated like I had nobody but my sister and my boyfriend.
15:00When we had our daughter Mina we were 15 years old.
15:03It was barely our first year of high school and we got pregnant.
15:05This is going to take forever.
15:07That's enough.
15:08We currently don't live together but we see each other like every single day or every other day.
15:13Yeah.
15:14Or we spend the night with each other and Mina.
15:16Basically it feels like I live there because I'm there all the time.
15:19He's there all the time.
15:20Can I drink coffee and bulldog noodles?
15:22Cheers.
15:23Cheers.
15:26It's spicy.
15:27I found out I was pregnant on May 9, 2022.
15:30I bought a pregnancy test.
15:32I was embarrassed to buy it for myself at the cashier.
15:34And I actually pretended to call my sister on the phone.
15:37And I was like oh is this a pregnancy test?
15:39Because they're probably like why is this little girl buying a pregnancy test?
15:44And I had my school backpack on so like people were looking at me.
15:47My stomach dropped like if I was on a roller coaster.
15:50And I was scared.
15:52She told me that she was pregnant and that she took three pregnancy tests.
15:56I was nervous.
15:58I didn't know like what to do, how to prepare myself to be a dad.
16:02My brother, he has eight kids.
16:05So my mom, she kind of already had a feeling that something was going to happen like that.
16:09She was kind of like in shock like okay.
16:11She was mad at the same time.
16:12She didn't talk to me for like two or three days.
16:14But then she just forgot about it.
16:16She said okay and she started buying baby clothes and stuff.
16:19So I live with my sister.
16:20And I was scared my sister was going to find the pregnancy test in my backpack.
16:25When I told my sister, she looked at me in my eyes and she said are you kidding me?
16:29My body like dropped.
16:32And like I just started crying.
16:34Like I just started crying so much.
16:36She was like what are you going to do?
16:38We can't raise a baby in this house.
16:40And after she was like yelling at me, she was trying to like comfort me.
16:43She said everything was going to be fine.
16:45But at that moment to me it felt like nothing was going to be fine.
16:49I felt like I was already growing up quick living with my mom because my mom was sick.
16:54She had diabetes.
16:55I wouldn't go to school sometimes because I would get anxiety that like something would happen to her.
17:00And then she passed away.
17:02I think that's what made me grow up fast too.
17:05So we are going to read a letter from my sister about how she felt when she found out I was pregnant at 14.
17:12It's been a while since we spoke to my sister about that subject.
17:19I was truly in shock and thought my sister was playing a prank on me.
17:22There were many thoughts racing through my head and a lot of confusion.
17:26My expression was you got to be effing kidding me.
17:30Of course I was angry as we had already been through a lot.
17:35Losing our mom.
17:36Initially I had reservations about their ability to raise a child as teen parents.
17:40They have persevered and proven they are capable.
17:43They are loving parents to me and it shows greatly.
17:45We weathered the storm and now we have this amazing ray of sunshine in our lives.
17:50That was heartwarming.
17:52I thought it was going to be something bad but
17:54the way she explains it all is how she felt.
18:00And this is me and Mina when she was born.
18:03She was hairy.
18:04Look how small she was.
18:05You can barely tell she was in there.
18:07And then this one of me and Anthony.
18:10When I first held Mina I felt happy and emotional because I heard her first cry.
18:16And when I first heard her cry it made me kind of like sad because at first I thought something was wrong with her.
18:22But everything was fine with her.
18:23She was just crying.
18:24I held her hand and she kind of stopped crying.
18:25And then I carried her.
18:26That was so cute.
18:27My and Anthony's relationship was like rocky because we didn't know how to parent like together.
18:34I had a lot of anxiety because I didn't know how to change a baby's diaper.
18:38Anthony was teaching me actually when I was pregnant how to change a baby's diaper on a bear.
18:43Mina like coming into the world it changed our relationship because in the beginning it was just us.
18:48I would try to go visit her but at that time I didn't have like a job.
18:51I was working but it was part time and it was part because of the school.
18:54So when the school ended I didn't have the job so it was kind of hard for me to get another job.
19:00Sometimes what I would do is I would get oranges and lemons and avocados and I would go walking around trying to sell them like a dollar for five lemons.
19:10Or like 10 lemons for $20 or however.
19:13Yeah because it was the big lemons.
19:15But I don't know because I was a kid I didn't know what to do.
19:17Hi.
19:18Hi.
19:19It's really hard doing school with her especially if she's home with me by myself because Mina, she constantly is doing something.
19:28She likes to use my keyboard and it's hard to do my school work because when I'm using it she wants to like play with it and I'm just like you can't play with it.
19:35Say bye.
19:37Bye.
19:38Because we have different teachers I'll watch the baby while she goes to her class and then when she's done I'll go to my class and then she'll watch the baby.
19:46It's giving me to go to work as a 17 year old teen mom.
19:49It's hard for me too because I have to go to work and then I have to go to school.
19:52When I'm watching the baby I can't really do homework.
19:55When I told my friends I was pregnant they were like so supportive and then as soon as I like stopped going to school they stopped talking to me.
20:03Like they just stopped talking to me they cut me off.
20:06Get that one.
20:07The bunny one.
20:09A lot of friends stopped talking to me.
20:12Some of them were supportive and some of them were not.
20:14Like you already messed up your whole life basically.
20:16You're not even finished with school.
20:18You only have a job.
20:19You only have a car.
20:20Or you could have had this many years to your life to do by yourself.
20:23Now you gotta support your child for 18 years and blah blah blah.
20:26No not like that.
20:27More straight.
20:28Like this?
20:29Yeah.
20:30No more.
20:31Ew.
20:32Oh.
20:33Like that.
20:34That's good.
20:35We get a lot of judgement on social media.
20:37I think our account blew up because I made a video.
20:40I think I was making spaghetti.
20:42People just think Anthony looks a lot older than me so that was the automatic like oh he's weird.
20:47Why is he messing with like a little kid or something?
20:50And I'm just like what?
20:51Like we're literally the same age?
20:54Girl we know you boyfriend ain't your age.
20:57Laughing emoji.
20:59That's so dumb.
21:00That's facial hair.
21:01Yeah I guess the girl doesn't know what puberty is.
21:03And hormones.
21:04People say that he'll probably leave me in like a couple years.
21:08And then we're gonna have a lot of problems in our life because we ended up having a child of 15 years old.
21:14Why do you both do this to yourself?
21:16Kids having kids.
21:17Bro 14 is beyond crazy.
21:19In the beginning it did affect me a lot.
21:22Like I would literally cry and I would like tell myself like oh my god just delete your account.
21:26But then I would be like why?
21:28Bye.
21:29Hi.
21:30It doesn't affect me anymore either.
21:31I just go on with my day.
21:34Say hi.
21:35Hi.
21:36I'm.
21:37Or.
21:38Am.
21:39I'm.
21:40Mina.
21:41This is Mina and she's two years old.
21:43She's like our little mini twin.
21:44She looks like Anthony.
21:45The girl version.
21:46Mhmm.
21:47She does.
21:48Yeah.
21:49Mina's very energetic and playful and a very happy baby.
21:53Happy baby.
21:54What I love most about Mina is I love waking up to her.
21:58And she loves to cuddle me.
22:01When she wakes up in the morning she's always asking for breakfast.
22:05Yeah.
22:06She loves her dad.
22:07I would probably start crying.
22:08She told me she was pregnant at 15 and she's going to suffer just like we did with our struggles.
22:13For me I would instantly pop out.
22:15I would be mad because I don't want her going through the same situation as we are going
22:19now because it's hard.
22:20I hope she does not follow our footsteps because she has a good life ahead of her.
22:34Anthony changed my life for the better because he's really funny and he's brought a big spark
22:40into my world and he's an amazing dad to my daughter.
22:45What is that?
22:46Who is that?
22:47Fish.
22:48Fish.
22:49She's always encouraging me to not give up on things.
22:52So like if I would feel down she's always bringing me back up.
22:55Fish.
22:56That's a baby.
22:57We cannot imagine our life without Mina because Mina is just Mina.
23:02I want Mina to have a successful life and I want Mina to go to a university.
23:06What we will say to the people that judge us is keep judging them.
23:10No, no, no, no, no.
23:12No.
23:15I naknow aじ 나오랑
23:20I naknow aya헤
