00:00Okay, so here's a soaking wet washcloth.
00:04Get the microphone so you can hear me while I'm talking.
00:06And now let's start ringing it out.
00:11It's really wet.
00:29It's becoming a tube of water.
00:34The water is all over my hands, in fact.
00:36It rings out of the cloth into my hands.
00:38And if I let go of the cloth carefully,
00:42the water sort of has it stick to my hand.
00:46Okay, so the experiment worked beautifully.
00:49And the answer to the question is the water squeezes out of the cloth.
00:54And then because of the surface tension of the water,
00:57it actually runs along the surface of the cloth and then up into my hand,
01:03almost like you had jello on your hands or gel on your hand.
01:07And it'll just stay there.
01:08wonderful moisturizer on my hands.
01:11And the cloth doesn't really unravel itself.
01:14It just stays there floating like a dog's chew toy, soaking wet.
01:20Great experiment.
01:21Worked perfectly.
01:23Meredith and Kendra, congratulations.
01:25Great idea.
01:26شكرا
